Just pulled it out of the box, followed the instructions and quickly had a record playing. I got the marching Victrola table to go with it and am very happy with the sound, all the functions and the contained footprint. This was an anniversary gift for my husband and he absolutely loves it. It plays even our old dusty records we salvaged from garage sale, like this Frank Sinatra album. Would absolutely recommend. Glad to have the cream colour as it blends in nicely with our decor.
