Product Description

Part pruner, part chainsaw, the Worx WG308 electric JawSaw does a little bit of everything. Need to prune tall limbs? The JawSaw's extension handle reaches limbs up to 12 feet high. Want to clear storm debris? The JawSaw's unique design lets you make cuts directly on the ground without kickback or damaging the chain. Safe, emissions-free, and easy to use, the 5 amp JawSaw is the perfect tool for gardeners, handymen, and anyone else who performs heavy-duty limb and brush cleanup. The JawSaw's extension handle lets you cut limbs up to 12 feet high. ( View larger ). The saw's Auto-Tension system includes a single, easy-to-use tensioning bolt. ( View larger ). The extension handle attaches easily and securely to the JawSaw. ( View larger ). Safer Than Your Average Chainsaw The JawSaw is outfitted with a set of solid steel teeth that hold the wood securely while you cut, providing extra stability while the chain does the work. As a result, even a first-time JawSaw user will feel confident while pruning and chopping tough branches. Worx also added an enclosed jaw guard around the chain, keeping your digits safe during tough cuts. The jaw guard doubles as a cut guide, so you won't accidentally sever healthy branches you didn't mean to cut. Gas-Free, No-Hassle Operation The JawSaw is powered entirely by electricity, so it produces no noxious emissions, nor does it require you to mix oil and gas or deal with difficult startups. The saw's easy-to-use design also includes an automatic oiler that constantly lubricates both the bar and chain. And users will love the Auto-Tension system, an intuitive chain replacement and tensioning system. Unlike most standard chainsaws, which require two separate tools to replace and tension the chain or replace the bar, the JawSaw features a single bolt that does it all. The system also prevents over-tightening

I got my JawSaw as a Christmas gift and just got a chance to use it over the long Easter weekend. I'm installing over 400 ft. of fence, much of which is very close to pine and spruce trees, and I used the JawSaw to remove the bottom 4 ft of branches on numerous trees. It worked beautifully. I've got over an acre and lots of trees, so I can see using my JawSaw quite a bit.

I would have given it a 5 star rating, but the chain did come off a few times. It's really easy to put back on, but I have to take one point off for that. All in all, it's a great tool to have for yard work, especially if you have lots of trees to content with.

I owned this for 5 months before actually having an opportunity to use it, and spent more time replacing the chain than actually cutting anything. Customer support via email was not very helpful, although they did try, and eventually suggested that I call...but they're not there on weekends which is when I have time to do so.
My brother, an experienced woodsman, fiddled with the tension and I did get a whole three minutes of cutting in before the chain slipped, but that was the last straw. I'm done.
Too bad, I think it's a great idea.

a little heavy with the extension but still a great product to clean your out door. If it was with a battery, it would be perfect

The jawsaw is fine but heavy; I wanted to use it for overhead work and my wife wanted to cut up deadfall from our woodlot. It does both of these things well with a lot of elbow grease but I knew that going in. Hopefully she will not tear a rotator cuff in the process. My main concern was with UPS delivery; did not arrive on time and curiously, went from Calgary to Richmond after leaving Mississauga. I guess there are no flights/trucks or what have you going directly to Kelowna. If UPS or Amazon/UPS could take a little extra time (15 seconds)then the consumer would not have to wait by the door for 48 hours anticipating a UPS truck any moment now. Typically for me, I was away from this task for 15 minutes and the package apparently arrived and was left on the front step. Glad to have it but really? Dumped on the doorstep? UPS/Amazon: as a team could you arrange for a quick phone call/ textmessage when delivery time is near and spare us the endurance-test of waiting to receive the goods? Especially when the package will be a day late. I don't see why the driver can't simply press a button on his cell phone and send an automated warning when about to deliver. A little consideration would go a long way, that is, if you don't think service is a thing of the past. If this is the way internet shopping works I would probably become inclined to drive to Washington to shop instead. Make it better and they will come.
