Powerful And Compact
Perfect for smaller desk spaces, the small tablet measures 12.5-by-8.1 inches, packing a lot of creative power into a compact format.
Professional-Level Pressure Sensitivity
The included pen mimics the sensitivity and control of traditional art tools. It responds to 2,048 levels of pen-pressure sensitivity (double that of the Intuos models) and the angle that you hold the pen. Varying the pressure and tilt of the pen against the tablet can create variations in line width and opacity or unique brush effects.
Ergonomic Pen for All-Day Use
The ergonomically designed Intuos Pro pen features a flared design and rubber grip for comfortable long term daily use. All models include a digital eraser on the pen and pen stand (with 10 replacement nibs).
Efficiency At Your Fingertips
This tablet has six application-specific ExpressKeys to activate your own time-saving shortcuts and modifiers in each of your applications. With the Express View Display, you can lightly rest a finger on an ExpressKey to see an on-screen reminder of its function so you can stay focused on your creative work.
Control You Can Feel
The finger-sensitive Touch Ring provides intuitive control of canvas rotation, brush size, scrolling, and other functions. Wacom's Multi-Touch technology senses your fingers, so you can utilize Mac or Windows gestures or create your own multi-touch shortcuts.
Wireless Use For Less Cord Clutter
With the included Wacom Wireless Accessory Kit, you can create digital artwork without being hindered by cords or cables. Or you can connect the tablet directly to your computer with the included USB cable.
Versatility & Compatibility

-Fast and responsive
-Tilt recognition opens up a whole new world of possibilities with brushes in supported softwares (Photoshop in my case)
-The included wireless kit allows reduced clutter on the desktop and simplifies switching between and mouse and a tablet (not the case for me)
-The radial menu and configurable function keys are a nice addition and hovering your finger over the buttons brings up a menu detailing the macros associated with each. Well thought!
-The battery charge seems to last, but I'll have to update to review for any further details.
-I thought other reviewers were a bit overreacting when they stated it, but the USB cable connection is FLIMSY at best. I've only had to insert it once and the way the connection wiggles around one it's attached is not reassuring to say the least. I can only hope this won't break. While I honestly don't think it will, I would definitely pay attention as to not move the tablet while this cable is connected.
-The touch recognition is a step above my older Bamboo Pen & Touch, yet is still too unresponsive compared to my apple trackpad. Simple two finger gestures have to be repeated a couple of times before I can scroll pages.
-The addition of the function keys on the side of the tablet make it a bit larger than the old bamboo pen & touch, which might lead to some problems if you want it side by side with your keyboard as the tablet will be sitting a bit more to your side than what I was used to.
As far as specs, Wacom really made another beautiful product that meets all my expectations. Small design flaws like the cable, however, stop it short from having a 5-star rating.
I'll try and update this review once I've had a bit more time using it for actual photo retouching and drawing purposes.
The wireless functionality makes this drawing tablet very handy for those who have a cluttered desk and need to use the tablet on their laps!
I would recommend this drawing tablet to any digital artist, be it amateur or professional or in-between.
Clearly the problem is with the design and the age of this version of Intuos Pro.
If you need a tablet, get a cheaper WIRED model from Wacom and save yourself ~$200. Nobody should be buying the Intuos Pro at this point in its product cycle. It's 3 years old, the Li-ion battery it comes with is garbage and the firmware for Macs is a dumpster fire.
This version of the Intuos Pro is 3 years old at this point - it was released in 2013. I probably should have known there would be issues just based on the design of the USB cable it came with - it uses the miniUSB design. There are no consumer electronics products that have miniUSB anymore - it's either microUSB or USB-C. The USB is not a problem per se - it's simply indicative of how old these >$300 tablets are. The battery life and firmware is bad. Plain bad. Awful. And that's likely because the moment you take it out of its brand new sealed box, you're dealing with a piece of hardware that is as old as the iPhone 5S.
The battery that comes in the box has clearly been sitting in the box for a few years. The way it holds charge is truly strange - while in wireless mode, the battery shuts off after 3-4 minutes of use. Turning it back on works just fine - it still has >97% of juice left. But then after another 3-4 minutes of use, it shuts off again. However, if you DO NOT USE the tablet, then it stays on >10 mins before the power saving mode shuts it off.
And you know what - Power Saving mode is fine when the device is not receiving any input from the user. But that's not what happens - what happens is that it shuts itself off in the middle of user input!
Which brings me to - firmware. I'm writing this in October of 2016 and Wacom just released a new version of the firmware for this tablet. And even with the latest version, the tablet shuts itself off after 3-4 minutes of wireless use. This is on a BRAND NEW tablet, fresh out of the box and charged to 100% (I even let it charge overnight just to make sure it's fully charged). To add insult to injury, the response time of the pen is downright embarrassing - the lag in wireless mode is so bad it makes the table completely unusable. First generation iPad with a $10 stylus had better response time than this Intuos Pro in wireless mode.
(I used it in Photoshop CC, latest version of Photoshop with latest version of Wacom firmware; Mac OS X 10.11.6).
Now, in wired mode this things works like magic. But... if I'm confined to using it in wired mode, then why am I paying a premium for the advertised wireless connectivity? Get yourself a <$100 Wacom and wait for them to release a new version of the Intuos Pro.
