Expressions like Intense low-impact and Power walking did not make any sense until now.

This DVD is pure delight for low Impact training lovers. IT is offering 5 x 1 mile work out (four of them using a 14 nibutes a mile pac and a faster at a 12 minutes a mile pace) plus a warmup and a cool down track. All can be done in one fun workout or seperatly in any order.

The trainer uses a little less than 10 basic easy to follow moves (low kicks, standing leg curl, side steps....) to get your heart rate in upper gear. It is fantastic for people with little dancing abilities or aerobics class experience. IT is that simple to use..... Trainer has this " Woman next door" look that makes you want to be like her. I would also recommend it to fitness experts that wants something to do on light training day. Music is very so-so, but it is only there to get you to keep the beat. The best part about this video is that your 14 minute mile will be done before you know it and you will go for another one and another.... I would recommend using light hand-weights to increase the challenge.

Just got this one...have fibro, arthritis and just had spinal fusion. On average I have been walking 2300 steps a day...so the 14 minute mile is a bit fast for me...and I can't really do the arm exercises...so when she does what I can't do I just go back to walking...this was my first day and I just walked at a pace I was comfortable with.

This is the first workout program I have ever followed for more than a couple of weeks, and I am actually enjoying it! Each mile goes quickly, thanks to the variety of exercises and the quick pace. I like that it is divided into short time periods, and you can choose to do from one mile up to five at one session. Each routine is a little different, too, so you can make each workout different. I really appreciate Leslie's instructions - they are clear and easy to follow. She gives lots of encouragement along the way, and is really helping me reach my goals.

I often recommend this DVD for those who are just starting out and haven't exercised for some time. Of course, as with all of Leslie's DVDs, if you're a bit more advanced, you can power it up all you want by making the moves bigger, adding boosts (gentle jog), etc. I love how this DVD targets specific areas of the body on certain miles. Mile 3 is my absolutely FAVORITE - I just LOVE squats and lunges! Do a mile at a time, or do all 5 at once. Mile 5 is a 12-minute mile - great if you're pressed for time in your busy schedule! Get some advice from Leslie on breakfast planning in a separate segment. She's got some GREAT ideas! mmmmm!

I tend to prefer videos where Leslie is working out with you alone instead of with a group of walkers, so I really enjoy this video. I love that she concentrates on specific parts of your body with each mile. When people ask me about WATP, I like to recommend this one.

I knew going in that Leslie would be alone in the workout. No group of walkers with her. But I found that made it very dull. The workouts are okay, but if you are a long time user of the Walk Away the Pounds series you will be bored.
