Adventure-seeking Mickey doesn’t usually regret being Chief O’Hara’s freelance detective ― but all bets are off when the Chief pitchforks Mickey and Goofy into saving Cousin Frosty’s winter resort from a monster! From snowballs to cliffside falls, deadly accidents have Sawtooth Mountain in an uproar … and if a man-eating yeti isn’t responsible, who is? And "Sawtooth Mountain" is just the start! Mickey confronts mystical elves in "Pineapple Poachers"… and is forced to reform the villainous Pegleg Pete in "Mickey’s Strange Mission!" A recreation of the stories’ original Dell Comics color is icing on the cake.

Fantagraphics does fabulous collections. Paul Murray is as classic /stylist for Mickey Mouse in comics as Carl Barks.
I have always loved his Mickey art -both in the Mickey Comics and the Dell Giants; now there are great compilations of stories from various Disney sources. The essays/overviews are very informative.
The quality of the images is the best yet - certainly better than the Abbeville publications of the 70's, which were the 1st large compilations.
You can always count on Fantagraphics for the best reprint possible.

Paul Murry is the (main) Mickey of my childhood
Reviewed in Brazil 🇧🇷 on January 5, 2023Verified Purchase
And of my nowadays… I do love the strips of Floyd Gottfredson and (some) other creators and cartoonists BUT the pencil, so to speak, of Mr. Murry is the one that I use to call THE Mickey, the consolidated one. Fantagraphics is doing a fantastic job bringing to this Century the tissue that have constructed the positioning, the perennial presence of Walt Disney World of Comics in the minds over the world.
