What types of washing machines are there?
There are three different washing machine configurations to choose from: front-loading, top-loading and high efficiency (HE) top loading.
Front-loaders are stackable, can accommodate large quantities of items and are considered to provide the best cleaning performance out of the three configurations.
Top-loading washing machines are easier to load, make less noise and are unlikely to accumulate bad odours from still water.
High efficiency (HE) top-loading washing machines use less water by tumble washing clothes to save energy. They’re relatively affordable and can clean just as well as front-loading machines, but they have lengthier spin cycles.
