Product Description

From the Back Cover

Looking for ornaments in Grandpa's attic, Nick and Holly find the true meaning of Christmas. When Nick and his twin sister Holly follow Grandpa up the attic stairs, they expect to find a box of Christmas tree decorations. Instead they discover treasures from the past, which Grandpa uses to explain the different names for Jesus and how God's gift of His Son is the greatest Christmas treasure of all. Share the excitement of their discovery with FamilyLife's Adorenaments (TM), a collection of Christmas ornaments just like the treasures Grandpa shows Nick and Holly. They invite children of all ages to be a part of the story and help them embrace the true meaning and spirit of the season in their own hearts.

HASH(0xa0bb5b58) out of 5 stars Amazing Personal Journey With Jesus! June 21 2000
By A Customer - Published on
Format: Hardcover
This book, as well as many of Max Lucado's book's, gives you a personal step by step walk with Jesus. Max Lucado uses everyday life situations so that you can experience each emotion that our Saviour felt in his walks. When reading this book I was able to understand some of the pain, struggles and joy that Jesus felt. I applied past experiences in my life to understand how he must have felt when he was rejected by those that loved him and cast aside by those that once called him their friend. I would recommend to everyone to purchase this book, especially those who want a better understanding of what our Saviour endured for the love of his own.

We gave this book to all our grandchildren for Christmas; the concepts are wonderfully written and in child language, without sounding "childish,"

My daughter just absolutely loves this book. It arrived on time and was in good condition. It had a tiny scratch that was hardly noticeable. But, it is a used book, so that's life. We are very pleased with the book.

The Book is a must read in preparation of the Passion week and Easter. This is a small sample of his book And the Angels were Silent. Read the 2 books together and be amazed of Christ's Final week. I stand in Awe of Christ's love for me, a sinful repentant man who was bought with Christ's atoning work. Amen and Amen!

HASH(0xa113072c) out of 5 stars Depth & Truth in a Beautiful Book Dec 5 2012
By Nicole R. Elliott - Published on
Format: Hardcover
I actually received this book as a present when my first child was born. The gift giver explained that although she knew it would be years till I could use it she just loved it so much that she felt every family needed to have a copy. Of course that got my attention! This is the story of 2 little children who go to visit their Grandpa during Christmastime. While looking for decorations they end up finding all sorts of different items and the Grandpa describes how each item portrays an aspect of Jesus character (the manger, the door, the vine, the giver of living water, etc). This book is beautifully illustrated and I've never seen a book with such depth and truth written in a way that a younger child could understand-now I know why I was given it and I'm excited as this is the first year I'll get to read it to my daughter as she's four!
