Ich möchte vorweg nehmen, dass ich nicht viel Erfahrung mit Gedichten habe. Ich weiß natürlich, was mir gefällt und was mir nicht gefällt, aber ich lese selten Gedichtssammlungen. Das gesagt, fand ich das Buch von Ashley Gallaher-Pollard angenehm zu lesen. Ich habe es nicht am Stück gelesen, da ich, wie gesagt nicht gewohnt bin Gedichte zu lesen. Aber für einen Moment der Ruhe mit schönen Texten, war es sehr schön. Ich würde sagen, dass ich die meisten Gedichte sehr gut. Einige haben mich nicht wirklich angesprochen und andere haben mich zum nachdenken, zum träumen und zum verweilen gebracht.
Man merkt, dass die Autorin eine bestimmte Ästetik hat, wenn es zu ihrem Schreibstil kommt, der ihr sehr eigen ist. Ich denke, Leute, die Gedichte genießen, sollten dem Buch eine Chance geben. Und für Leser wie mich, werden ebenfalls einige schöne Momente dabei sein. Auf Grund meiner persönlichen Präferenz gebe ich dem Buch daher

I would like to anticipate that I do not have much experience with poetry. Of course I know what I like and what I don't like, but I rarely read collections of poetry. With that said, I found Ashley Gallaher-Pollard's book pleasant to read. I didn't read it in one session because, as I said, I'm not used to reading poetry. But for a moment of calm with beautiful texts, it was very nice. I would say that most of the poetry is very well done. Some didn't really speak to me and others made me think, dream and linger.
You can tell that the author has a certain aesthetic when it comes to her writing style, which is very unique to her. I think people who enjoy poetry should give the book a try. And for readers like me, there will be some nice moments too. Based on my personal preference, I am therefore giving the book 3 stars
