♥ Five Star ♥ Review from Readers Favorite

“It sounded so simple in theory; ready... aim... fire... but what actually transpired was so much more.”

Officer Nicole Nolan holds the gun steady in her hands, knowing that life will be forever altered once she pulls the trigger. Her position as a small town police officer is to protect those who cannot protect themselves. It is her job, her career and her life.

Amanda stands where protection does not exist. With several failed relationships behind her, Amanda turns a blind eye to the possessiveness Josh displays in order to sooth her desperate need to be loved. As the mental abuse turns violent, Amanda must deal with the denial and embarrassment of being a victim once again. With her emotional and physical health siting on the edge, she must fight to regain control of her life.

A gripping story with one final destination, but will it be life or death?

“…a brilliantly crafted journey that engages the reader both emotionally and psychologically” Best-selling author, GE Johnson

“Life changing, compelling and heartbreaking…” International best-selling author, Amy Manemann

“This book brings a new light to the issue of abuse against women. The stark detail made me want to reach into the pages to help.” Reader, Scott Johnson

About the Author

Stacy is a full-time Police Officer who enjoys crime scene investigation above all else. She is a mother of two and her husband is also in law enforcement. She is very much into photography and carries her Nikon Digital SLR with her almost everywhere, just in case. She also has two Shiloh Shepherd dogs and loves to play catch with them. Stacy uses her experience at work to make the stories more believable. Weaving bits of crime solving knowledge into her stories of fiction to make them more lifelike. Her first book, My Blood Runs Blue was the start of her writing career. It brings the world of law enforcement into the paranormal world of vampires. It is a suspenseful adult series that will keep you guessing from chapter to chapter. Book one, My Blood Runs Blue, was published April 2011 and is currently available in paperback, hardcover and e-book editions. Book two of the series, entitled Blue Blood For Life was released September 2011 and like book 1 made International Best Selling lists on Amazon very quickly. The third book of this series is in the plot and characters development stage. She is hoping to have it completed and published in the winter of 2012. Stacy is also currently working on several different novels. The first one is called Liveon. This book brings to life Detective Jacquelyn Liveon as she tries to protect a movie star who is being threatened. While this book is well on it’s way, it has been put to the side to make way for another book that she is working on. Whether I’ll Live or Die was her third book to be released in July of 2012! This book is a fictional story about a young woman named Amanda who deals with the pain and emotional issues of Domestic Violence. You will read about how Amanda deals with the things life hands her while you follow Nicole Nolan as she grows at her new job as a police officer. This book is very emotional and intense as it deals with the all to real problems that face people in violent relationships. Stacy is also currently working on a Guardian Angel book and is hoping to have that out in 2013. There are several other books in the works for Stacy Eaton, but with her busy life you’ll need to keep checking back to find out what else is new! You can always keep up to day on what is going on in her life on her website:

HASH(0xb0cea12c) out of 5 stars Emotionally Riveting Read July 3 2012
By G. E. Johnson - Published on
Format: Kindle Edition
"Whether I'll Live or Die" is a riveting read that evokes several emotional responses as you read. The book details the lives of "Amanda" and "Nicole", two women who appear to be very different from the beginning of the book, but who become inextricably tied together by the end in a surprising and poignant twist. From beginning to end, both of their stories are raw and real, one trying to cope with an ongoing cycle of domestic abuse, the other dealing with life as a police officer inevitably drawn into violent crime. If you have an aversion to graphic violence or abuse, this is not the book for you. You will find traces of fairy tale love and romance, but it serves more as intermittent relief from an ongoing theme of brutality throughout the entire novel rather than hold a place as a prominent theme of its own. I repeat - this novel is raw and REAL, not for the squeamish.

Don't get me wrong. The violence is not gratuitous in any way. It is the essence of the experiences of these two women - experiences that will make you angry, sad, afraid, and even resolute in your pursuit of the final pages in order to see how it all ends. I will not give away spoilers, but I can say that there will be vindication by the end of the story. However, how you arrive at the ultimate resolution is a brilliantly crafted journey that engages the reader both emotionally and psychologically. The author teaches us that ultimately, destiny is in our own hands and we decide whether our spirits will live or die in this lifetime.

HASH(0xb0cea180) out of 5 stars MOST OUTSTANDING THING I HAVE READ THIS YEAR! Dec 29 2012
By Amazon Customer - Published on
Format: Kindle Edition Verified Purchase
I have just finished this book and had to immediately write a review praising the authoress. Sadly this story is all to familiar with my life and like the main character, karate also helped pull me out of that nasty pit of abuse and self hatred. The way this story was told was unique and it engages you right from the start. The characters were all so real. I just don't know what to say, I am so choked up. It brought back memories and feelings that I had buried in my mind and thought I had buried forever. All I can say is please read this book! And be there for someone if you can.

I downloaded Whether I'll Live or Die when it was offered in Amazon Kindle's Top 100 Free, and I am glad I did. Stacy Eaton tells a compelling story of two women affected by domestic violence, one a victim and another a police officer, as their lives head toward inevitable intersection. This book is currently an Amazon Prime Kindle Lending selection. Definitely worth reading.

HASH(0xb0cea354) out of 5 stars LIfe Changing and Compelling July 6 2012
By AManemann - Published on
Format: Kindle Edition
Life changing, compelling and heartbreaking are just a few of the words I would use to describe author Stacy Eaton's novel, Whether I'll Live or Die. The author takes us on a compelling and life changing journey with characters Nicole and Amanda, two women whose lives are at complete opposites and yet inextricably intertwined. Whether I'll Live or Die focuses on the realities of Domestic Abuse, something that is all too prevalent in this day and age. It also takes us through life as a police officer and the violent crimes they face on a daily basis. Nothing about this story is sugar coated.

This book is absolutely riveting, taking you on a kaleidoscope of emotions while you quickly turn pages to reach the climatic ending, an ending that won't disappoint. A highly recommended read.

HASH(0xb0cea990) out of 5 stars Great realistic portrayal of Domestic Violence from differing POV's Oct. 31 2012
By Sandra Richardson - Published on
Format: Kindle Edition
I downloaded this book from Amazon with the intention to read and review it on my blog.
The cover shows the main character of Amanda in a vulnerable position on the floor almost cowering away from a rather large shadow of a man with his fists clenched. I think this image fits the book well as it is about Domestic Violence.
The book covers the subject of domestic violence very well and in a thought out, thoughtful way.
I enjoyed reading this book even though the subject is not a pleasant one. The book describes the events in the book in detail and I have to say really realistically (coming from myself who has been through this problem) You see the domestic violence from the side of the victim as well as the side of a police officer dealing with the fall out and after math of the attacks who deal with both the attacker and the victim.
I loved the characters in the book, you cannot help but get attached to them. You feel the frustration Nicole has when returning to Rebecca's house on numerous occasions for the ever increasingly worsening abuse she is suffering at the hands of her husband.
The book has quite a twist at the end, and it also has a quite shock ending. this book had me remembering past troubles and gave me teary eyes and a lump in the throat aand a tightness in my chest on many occasions. Perhaps a sad thing for me to say but it is great that there are books out there like this one publicizing the issue of Domestic Violence. These books also help victims and survivors speak out the issue and make them feel that they are not alone. It is extremely easy to say, "her husband hits her why doesn't she leave?" until you have been there you cannot truly understand how the abuser gets into your mind, they isolate you from friends etc and make you feel it is all your fault.
So did I enjoy the book? Yes if "enjoy" is the correct word. The book is brilliant at getting the message out. If one victim reads it and then has the courage to leave their abuser it is well worth it. The takes you on a roller coaster of emotions throughout it. You also get to read about the times when the abuser is attentive and loving and "sorry" for their actions. They suck the victim back in and then the whole cycle begins again.Would I recommend it? Yes definitely its a great read and for a every book sold a donation is given to a domestic violence charity. Would I read more by Stacy Eaton? Yes I have more books by her ready to read! Would I read more books like this, if it was a series for example? Yes, though it brings up sad awful memories I would read more...
