Product description

Product Description

*Recommended for ages 18+ due to strong sexual content and mild violence.*

Some stories aren’t easy to tell.

Some situations aren’t easy to relive.

But I was raised to be strong—to hold my own. Because of it, I was hurt, torn down, beaten and even had my heart snatched right out of my chest.

But I’m ready now. It’s time for me to speak up. You want to know what really goes on inside my head, well I’m right here.

Real. Raw. Intense.

This is all me. Roy Sykes. This is my story, and trust me… its far from pretty.

*This is the third book of the FireNine series but it can be read as a standalone.*

5.0 out of 5 stars Absolutely Loved this Story! March 11 2014

I absolutely loved this story! It was well written and really gives the reader a detailed view into who Roy Stokes really is and why he acts the way he does in the previous books. In this book you really get to see what a big heart Roy has and the sacrifices he made and the lengths he went to in order to protect those he loves; especially his mother.

This book made me adore Roy. I loved the fact that although he experienced some of the worst the world has to offer in both humanity and environment he did not let that jade him or cause him to lose his sense of love and compassion for others.

I love how we get to see how and when his view on relationships was formed. I really disliked Rose because they was she abused the love Roy had for her to manipulate him. I am happy that after all of the heartbreak and sadness Roy endured for so much of his life he was able to find success in the band and true, unconditional love with Chelsea.

I would definitely recommend this book to others; especially those who love the Fine-Nine Series.

I waited and waited for this book and Shanora did not disappoint. Roy has been my favorite of FireNine since "Who He Is" and his story was not what I suspected but I loved it anyway. I laughed, I cried but most of all I just wanted to wrap him in a cocoon of love and protect him from all the bad. I also wanted to slap the taste out of Rose. I'm so happy that after all he went through he got his Hea
5.0 out of 5 stars Loving me some roy Feb. 12 2014

I love this series and glad that Roy got his book and we get to see who he really is and why he is the way he is. Also shows his relationship with Gage and the boys from FireNine and how they all started. Just show what kind of Man he is when you read about him and his mom and what he has to do to take care of her by working for Corey. Then he met Rose and started to see him happy for awhile, then she goes behind his back just to be with someone else, she does this not once but a few times which makes me wonder why anyone would do that to Roy. I wanted to reach through my Kindle and Smack her up side the head for doing that. Only good thing that came from that is meeting Rocky and him help him out with Corey, then in turn helps with him mom and makes his life a little easier. So glad that after everything that he finds Kelsey and she shows him that he can find love again. I cant wait for there Novella to come out then Read about Montana

4.0 out of 5 stars Not what I expected... Feb. 6 2014

I have waited a week to write this review because although this was an amazing story and well written, it was like reading part 2 of the story; if that makes sense. I was expecting the Roy Sykes story that is in the present, on the road, finding his true Love, not the past Roy Sykes and why he is the way he is! We don't really get a picture of who Roy is in the first 2 books cause he is like a ghost. This book explains why he is who he is but not the present Roy.
