Product Description

Intended for mature audiences 18+. Stand-alone with HEA.

Having written off men after being burned too many times, twenty-two-year-old Aspen Williams is ready to finish college and start living her life. She and her best friend head south of the border to Puerto Vallarta, Mexico, for their dream vacation. This vacation was to be all about sun, fun and girl time … or so she thought. A chance encounter puts her directly in the path of Hollywood’s hottest leading man, Ryan Lark.

Hollywood stars shine brightly and Ryan Lark is no exception. He is an all-American boy wrapped up in a body made for sin with a face that defined beautiful masculinity. What you don’t see through the glare of the movie screen is a gentle and tender man whose heart and soul have been burned by the very same lights that made him who he is.

In true Hollywood fashion, sparks fly between Aspen and Ryan. Even though she tries not to, Aspen falls fast and hard with hopes that Ryan feels the same way. But she learns the brutal truth of why it’s called falling in love.

With more on the line than they both bargained for, will their final scene be a happily ever after?

HASH(0xa1ecff3c) out of 5 stars GREAT READ ! Sept. 8 2014

Format: Kindle Edition
Why it is called Falling by Leslie Stephens is a cute romance. If you are looking for a HEA that can be read as a standalone then this is what you want.

Aspen Williams is in Mexico trying to enjoy her break before starting her junior year at college. With her best friend Jillian by her side, she is ready to live it up. Then fate steps in and she gets stuck in an elevator with one of Hollywood’s finest Ryan Lark.

Ryan is your all around American boy who just happens to be the hottest thing around. Ryan is in Mexico enjoying a break from the bright lights with his ‘guy’ friends. Ryan is so sweet and polite nothing like what you would expect from a famous actor. You can tell he really wants Aspen and cares deeply for her. Together they go diving, clubbing, and even enjoy a little alone time. You will love how Ryan respects Aspen and appreciates her as a person. He is very attentive to her.

However, reality calls and things take a nosedive. Ryan and Aspen part ways. It really broke my heart for these two when they could no longer be together. They both have such a wonderful support system to help them through the breakup.

The thing is nothing ever stays ended for long. Will they make or can they make it? A huge secret is kept and when it comes out what happens then? These are all the questions you will be left wondering.

Leslie Stephens was a NTM author. This was a fun lighthearted quick read with life’s ups and downs of doubts that everyone ends up having. I did feel some of the story was a little rushed in areas but all together it was perfect. She weaves it in a way that makes us all want our prince charming to arrive.

Fabulous book! It captivates you! It hooks you in the beginning and you can't wait to finish, yet are sad when you finish because you miss the characters.

I have recommended this book to anyone I know that reads! It's been a longtime since a book captured my attention like this book! The book is well written with good character development, great story line!

I am anxiously awaiting the Leslie Stephens next book! Please hurry!

HASH(0xa1c9f564) out of 5 stars Review of Why It's Called Falling Aug. 8 2014

A vacation romance that ends up being so much more. The good, the bad and the ugly of falling in love. While there were a few parts that carried on a bit, it was a good story with love (lost and found), friendship, betrayal, and a Hollywood hottie. Multi-POV with a good cast of secondary characters. Cord is the one I am looking forward to getting the scoop on.

HASH(0xa236fa68) out of 5 stars I loved this book Aug. 21 2014

I loved this book! Great story with lovable characters. There's usually something that annoys me about at least one character, but not in this story! I also appreciate the lack of a tragic back story for Aspen. Looking forward to another book from Leslie!
