"Rich Terfry is a pretty darn good writer. And Wicked and Weird is an exceptionally satisfying, intermittently edifying, book." —The Globe and Mail
"Entertaining . . . A rollicking memoir about a fascinating guy." —NOW Magazine
"Wicked and Weird is the story of a boy who is born into squalor, poverty and ugliness, but who has inexplicably magical and lofty dreams. The tale that follows is dark, surreal, addictive and quietly redemptive." —Heather O'Neill, award-winning author of Lullabies for Little Criminals

I don't understand the negative comments that have been posted on Amazon regarding this book. I can only surmise that these individuals have some sort of vendetta against the author. It hardly seems like the appropriate platform to be voicing your personal grievances. I strongly suggest that you do not allow these distasteful comments to influence your decision to read this book. You will be missing out on one heck of a great story.
The work itself is not flawless, but it is certainly worth your time -- even more so if you are a fan of Buck 65's discography to begin with. I will admit that I was bit surprised by the heavy-handedness of a section or two (mainly because the lyrics in his music are so often concise), but it didn't last long enough to distract from the overall flow of the book. Conversely, some sections could have been given more attention. Even still, my interest has been piqued & I look forward to what other amazing tales Buck has to tell.
But do yourself a favour, fellow consumer... Ignore the reviews that are not Verified Purchasers. Strange times out there.
