This is the first and last book I will read by this author. Being a historian obviously does not make her a writer.
The premise of a man pretending to be a minister of a religion he has no interest in is silly. The "witch" label the townsfolk give the widow is silly, especially considering the book is set in Victorian times, not the 1600s. The whole plot is silly with mention of strong thighs and burning looks between a couple who are supposedly mistrustful of each other but naturally fall into each other's arms. This book is just a silly Harlequin Romance. Wish I hadn't wasted my time or money.
