She is the author of "The Queen of Kentucky" and the Wildflower series, as well as an actress with appearances on several television programs and commercials. Despite feeling disconnected at times from Bird's dilemmas, "Wildflower" was mostly an easy, fluttery read. I liked the Partridge Family sense of the first part of the book and wished there had been more cheesy performances from the Barretts.
