What you can expect from this book are facts - actual facts about how to do what and when. It isn't your usual 'good practices' and 'sound strategies' that are more creative and subjective, and give no concrete directions whatsoever. This book will tell you what worked, and how it may work for you and even if it doesn't, you will be able to find a better direction.
Digital marketing isn't really that difficult at all. Something most articles and blogs make it out to be. If you are confused about something or are simply dreading it, then reading something that makes it more complicated will understandably scare the bejaysus out of anyone. Happened to me too. Trust me, you ought to read this book if you are utterly clueless about where you are and why things aren't working out. This can help you kill the 'shiny object' syndrome and get on the success track.
While not all of the information was new to me, there were some parts that gave me a genuine "a ha!" moment. I am eagerly implementing various elements of strategy that Jean lays out in this book and am confident that I will realize very positive results.
This is a straightforward book with tons of great advice and tools. A worthwhile read for anyone in marketing, and small business or not-for-profit owners who want to do marketing.
