This an excellent book, answering many of my questions (I went from Windows 7 to 10), but I still lack information on some things, where and how Windows 10 is different than Windows 7. All my powerpoint images disappeared, and I still don't know whgere they went. Also I have other questions about Windows 10 operations I still haven't found answers for - perhaps I don't know what terminology to use to look them up. There is much in Windows 10 that I won't use, as I'm elderly and not into a lot of apps, etc. But the book is helpful.

Windows 10 (All-In-One) for Dummies by Woody Leonhard is the ultimate manual. When I upgraded my computer Windows 10 I purchased the Kindle version of Windows 10 for Seniors for Dummies which was most helpful for setting up the screens and running apps such as Email, Edge, etc. I then found I wanted more technical information so ordered the Kindle version of Windows 10 All-in-One for Dummies, but found it somewhat overwhelming reading on my tablet and relating it to the computer. So then ordered it as a real book, which now resides beside the keyboard (chock full of sticky note tabs). The only disappointment is that the illustrations are no longer in colour. So, also get the Kindle version (only about $12), and view the colour plates on your computer or tablet.
I like the format of the manual with 10 major topics (called Books), each containing a number of chapters. Privacy issues are outlined early in the manual and refined in ensuing chapters dealing with apps and browsers, also a full section handling security issues. There even are chapters comparing search engines, exploring and setting up apps such as Skype, OneDrive, Facebook, and Twitter.
Almost 950 pages full of practical information, but the best part is that when the technical stuff seems to be getting heavy, Woody throws in some humour which will put a smile on your face and keep you reading.

Much of the information applies to other versions of Windows as well, because of the platform Windows 10 was built from. There are many interesting tid bits. It is easy to understand and tells you all you need to know. It is meant to be used as a reference book, but I read it from cover to cover. I guess I just enjoy reading manuals. For the price, it is definitely a good book. I would have no problem recommending it. I have used computers for 50 years, always something else to learn.

Well written, informative and easy-to-understand manual for the Windows 10 operating system. Woody Leonhard's insight and analysis of the features and applications are truly helpful. My only regret is that I have purchased this book AFTER purchasing Windows 10. Reading the book prior, would have save me some money regarding the choice of the version of the operating system I really needed.
