Product Description

On the surface, Jenna Landsen has it all…

She’s smart, beautiful, confident, and married to Camden Landsen, who happens to be drop dead sexy and just as successful. But after five long years, all the success in the world hasn’t brought the romantic spark back into her marriage. Jenna fears it never will.

When life gives you lemons, open a bakery and name it Vi’s…

Violet Streiff made the exact mistake her mother warned against—she fell in love with Liam Coffman, a charming finance major. When he left her heartbroken to further his career, Violet drowned her sorrows by opening a bakery, and now relies on Bob, her eighteen-pound cat, for warmth at night instead of a sexy man.

To find love, sometimes you first have to discover yourself…

When Jenna’s job offers an extended trip to New York, she packs her bags and takes a two-month vacation from life. The chance of her marriage surviving looks grim, until the surprise of a lifetime throws a wrench in her plans to stay in the Big Apple for good.

You can bend the rules—but sooner or later they’ll break…

When Violet meets a gloomy but totally drool-worthy guy named Camden in her shop, she’s sure her luck has changed. There’s no denying the chemistry, but he’s married, and that’s a major problem. Violet isn’t a homewrecker. Still, staying away from Camden proves nearly impossible. That is, until his wife comes home.

Two women.
Two men.
Double the chance to find love in the most
unexpected places—or double the chance for disaster.

This is the first time reading anything by Author Lindsay Detwiler and I have to say I thoroughly enjoyed this touching story. The author has given us a touching love story of relationships and marriage ,and how a marriage should be without the fighting and the misunderstanding. This story had my emotions going from laughing out loud to crying ,while I was reading this story. This story is told from the point of view of two women who are seemly unconnected ,they are trying to figure out what's not working in their marriages. Jenna has been married for 5 years but the spark seems to be gone and she's feeling like her marriage is coming to an end ,she's going on a business trip to New York ,so she decides it's the prefect time to think about her marriage and what has gone wrong with it. Then there's Violet who has just opened up a coffee shop with the help of her boyfriend Liam , but when everything is done Liam decides he wants his own career and leaves her , heartbroken and dedicating all her time to her business. Then one day a handsome man walks in and instantly she's attraction to this man who seems to be lonely . Their seem to hit it off and began a friendship ,but the more time they spent together the more he begins waking up feels she though she had lost. But there's a problem he's married and she's no home wrecker. The characters were amazing in this story very strong and they make the story flow so easy . I could go on and tell you more about this story but that would spoil the story you. I highly recommend that you read this touching story , you won't be disappointed I wasn't.

This is a first read for me by Lindsay Detwiler. I really enjoyed this book. I went into it kind of blind not knowing what it was about and it was quite a surprising read. I love the premise of the story. A young married couple who comes to a rough time in their relationship. Do they let it all go or work to try to reignite the passion now lacking. When Jenna goes off the New York for work she thinks it's time for her to reevaluate her marriage to Camden and find herself again. Violet owner of Vi's bakery is still trying to get over the loss of her boyfriend Liam and move on. A chance encounter between Camden and Vi have both of them questioning things and making some very important discoveries. Can Jenna and Camden reconcile their marriage and can Vi move on? I must say the ending was quite a delightful surprise. It was not as I would have expected. Very excellent book!

4.0 out of 5 stars Beautiful with a lot of struggles and emotions April 3 2016

The Struggle is soooo real.
Being in love is not the problem, stay in love is the problem.
So much angst i feel in this book, i want to shake some senses to all the characters.
So many heartbroken in this book.
This is the story how to keep your marriage, when the honeymoon is over and when the love is not in the air anymore. When saying i love you and holding hands is completely forgotten.
When marriage is just a mundane things. When being together is just a routine.
And how to trust in love again.

This is my first book from Lindsay and i enjoyed it a all the characters..i totally understand their struggles.
It's not just ordinary's what happen in everyday life for many couples.

If you're looking for beautiful book packed with emotions and struggles ..This is a must for you.
5.0 out of 5 stars A Must Read for All Readers of Romance Novels Dec 8 2015

Without You is a compelling, fast moving novel about the complexity of love. One of the main characters, Jenna, is caught up in the romantic concept of what love and marriage should be. She seems to envision marriage as one long romantic high that doesn't change over time. Although she and her gorgeous husband, Cam, have been married for five happy years, she is unsatisfied with what she could be missing, both in her career and life. Her immaturity is very believable, and author Lindsay Detwiler makes her so real that I wanted to jump into the novel and shake some sense into her.

The other strong female character in the novel is Vi, who is lonely and desperate for love. The man she thought she would spend her life with has selfishly left her alone to run a thriving coffee shop while he pursues a career building move to Japan. Vi is a likable and realistic woman, a modern woman of sorts, who knows what she wants. Detwiler's character is well developed, and the reader feels empathy for her plight.

This novel contains many truths about love and "about loss. It's about choice....I've learned love isn't like a typical movie, all of the pieces and emotions tucked into's messy.....confusing....frustrating.....hard and....conflicting. But if I've learned anything from the rocky road we've followed, I've learned this-it's real." That sums the novel up will enjoy this new book and will be anticipating Ms. Detwiler's next novel!

5.0 out of 5 stars This book is a great weekend or vacation read Dec 6 2015

This book is a great weekend or vacation read. Lindsay Detwiler's descriptive writing will have you deeply connected to all four characters. The characters make you believe in real love in a marriage as well as the complications that can arise.

Sometimes it takes almost losing the love of your life to realize what you truly have. Throughout this book you'll be wondering if Camden will go back to his somewhat boring stable life with Jenna or move onto a more extreme and exciting new life with Violet. You'll be surprised with the outcome of this book.

I must say being an extreme animal love my favorites in this book are Henry, the 150lb mastiff, and Bob the 18lb beautiful black cat.

Love, Love, Love this book. Hope for many more.
5.0 out of 5 stars Great romantic story Aug. 10 2016

I loved the story line of this book. The author vividly showed the prospective of a couple whose marriage is on the verge of a breakup, but held together by their strong love for each other. As the story unrolled, there were times of uncertainty which made me read further until the end. It is also interesting how men understand (or don't) women's needs. They have to have it spelled out to them, otherwise they think that everything is just fine until the bomb drops.
I can't wait to read more of Linday Dewiler's stories!
4.0 out of 5 stars Without You is a well weaved story of love. No love is perfect Aug. 20 2016

Without You is a well weaved story of love. No love is perfect, and often love evolves. I really enjoyed this book. I found I could relate to the characters, their emotions, and even their struggles. The author does a terrific job of painting a realistic world and helping the reader understand her characters. The plot kept me so intrigued, I devoured the novel in two days. I will definitely be reading more of Ms. Detwiler's work!
