Product Description

I have a history of picking the wrong guy. Gay? Player? Momma’s boy? Check, check and check.

Now I can’t stop fantasizing about one of the customers at the coffee shop I work at between classes. It’s just a harmless crush, right? It’s not like I ever see this guy outside of the coffee shop. It’s not like I’m going to see him while attempting to get birth control at the student clinic. While wearing a paper gown. While sitting on an exam table. Because he’s the doctor. Shoot. Me.

But what if, for once, the man I’ve had the dirtiest, most scandalous fantasies about turned out to be everything but wrong?

Wrong by Jana Aston
4 1/2 stars

There are so many things I could say that would be spoilers, but I won't ...

I absolutely loved this book, it was funny, it was sad, it was seriously sexy, steamy, hot, WOW!

I loved the banter between Sophie and her friends, it helps to have friends you can trust and rely on. Luke is seriously intense, and mulit-faceted, and so enjoyable to read about through the whole book.
The evolution of this story from beginning to end made sense for each character. I felt it flowed well. I didn't think there was any extra unnecessary fluff to fill the natural time gaps in the story. The ending, fabulous!

This is one of my new must reads.

I loved this book! It got me out of a really big book slump. It has every characteristic that I look for in a book. It is hilarious! I love the friendship between Sophie and Every. Every is so blunt and out there, it is so refreshing. This book also tugs at my heart strings with everything that Sophie has been through and that she finally gets her HEA with Luke. Gina I just want to punch in the face as well as most of Luke's family. Meredith and Bella are awesome. Jana you have done an amazing job with your debut novel! I can't wait for you next book. I completely digested this book in one sitting and I am most definitely telling the world to read it!

I really enjoyed Jana Aston's Wrong, so I was rather excited about this one. Unfortunately I just didn't like it as much.

From the synopsis you are led to believe it's a brother's-best-friend-romance when really it's a stalk-the-brother's-best-friend-and-fall-for-the-best-friend's-brother. I kid you not. She stalked this guy. There's the romances with the best friend's sibling that make sense; a childhood crush that grows into more. But this one was a little obsessive. Then she ends up being deterred and falls for the guy's brother. Which is fine. Makes a lot more sense than his brother (her brother's friend) because he was just not havin it with her. I just didn't like the switch so fast. It's one thing to go from a childhood crush on one guy and actually liking another, but we don't really get that transition well enough. It's quite sudden.

I enjoyed the beginning. When you read the first chapter it's a big wtf is going on, but then every chapter after it for the next few alternates before continuing the present and catching up to that point. It was only for the first half which was nice and not half the book to clarify. The start of a car ride to the end of one with snippets of the past leading up to that moment in between.

I was a little iffy at first because her obsession with the one guy was almost scary. She went into his car and made 3 copies of his house keys... but it definitely picked up. It was quite funny for the first half of the book actually.

My favorite part would the proposal at the end. Just the way it happened. It was quirky, romantic and very them. Especially since multiple times in the book he hacked her accounts, so it was a very fitting way to ask her.

All in all not bad, but not the best either. This is a Wrong read for me and her other book is Right.
(saw what I did there?)

This book has been on my TR list since it came out last fall. Right now I am shaking my head wondering why I waited so long to read it? I can only say that it got buried among 1400 OTHER books on my TR list and then note a thought that runs through my head constantly… too many books, not enough time.

Sophie’s inner dialogue put a constant smile on my face and made me realize pretty early on that I was going to enjoy this story.

“Sophie." He always addresses me by name. Good morning, Sophie. I'll have the dark roast, Sophie. I think you have a bit of whipped cream on your nose, Sophie. That stuff splatters, okay? ”

“No one is looking at me, actually. Except a chubby blonde baby in the corner. She's definitely staring at me. Nosy baby.”

Sophie, a barista, had a crush on a much older customer. Imagine her mortification when she realized he was a doctor, while she was waiting on an exam table.

“I flip my foot. Classy. That's what's written on the bottom of my left foot. And on the bottom of my right foot? Bitch. I'm wearing my classy bitch socks. That I just flashed at Luke while my legs were spread. Can this appointment get any worse?”

This story was told from Sophie’s point of view and she was hilarious and quirky. So Luke, the doctor in question, was a surprise. He was such a contract to Sophie’s lightheartedness with his dirty talk. He had such a filthy mouth and these two personalities worked so great together.

Everly, though a secondary character, really took over the pages she was on.

“You should always have two forms of birth control, because I'm not ready to be a grandmother." Everly hops up onto the back counter and watches me sweep. "You missed a few to your left."
"Everly, you're twenty-one and we're not related. You wouldn't be the grandmother.”

Great read!

For a debut novel, Jana Aston delivers one stellar gem of a read! This was romantic, funny, sexy and just enough angst to keep things interesting. I read this in one seating and loved every word.
Let's just say, there's a virgin, a gynecologist, comprising positions of embarrassment and a whole lot of sex. Sophie is a senior in college with a crush on the hot, much older professional who frequents the coffee shop where she works. Of course, as luck would have it, he turns out to be the doctor at the clinic when she goes to get birth control pills. Dr. Luke Miller is sexy, controlling, dominant and holds his thoughts/emotions close to his vest. I totally knew how Sophie felt as he got me all hot and bothered without having to do a thing. He was sex-on-a-stick!
This book had that perfect mix of everything I love. There were intense, steamy sexy moments and then sweet and tender moments too. There was also a bit of tension and of course, an uber b*tch, Gina, who I just loved to hate! And the epilogue was sweet! The cherry on top of the sundae. We get a glimpse into the mind of Luke with his POV and it was so worth it! It had me reliving the entire book again with a different lens.
I would highly recommend this book to anyone who loves romance, comedy, chick lit and wants something that'll put a smile on your face.
Finally, Sophie's best friend, Everly, is hilarious, feisty and I'm so wishing for her story! Ms. Aston, pretty please!
