Love it. Would recommend to a friend. Use it everyday and what nice, it builds endurance and is a good stress buster. I already have definition in my upper arms. Even weights didn't do that.

This book seems to be meant for people who are really without health concerns other than being overweight and/or lack of toning. If that's you - I'd say go for it. The food plans are definitely useful. I prefer to go to a instructor led class where she/he can modify the poses to suit my physical concerns which in my case are my knees.

I just finished the 28 days of this and it has changed my life. This isn't about losing weight or a big diet plan by another celebrity endorsed trainer. This is a journey...and an experience. Sure, I lost 3lbs and got stronger, which is a nice benefit to someone who is already of a healthy weight. But, I gained so much more. I gained such an inspirational outlook on life. Mandy shares her experiences and teaches you daily lessons to incorporate. I've learned so much about myself in just 28 days. I feel happier, stronger and healthy now. I recommend this to anyone looking for a way to get happier and healthier that you can actually stick to. It's not a lose weight fast gimmick, but really gets down and dirty into the hows and whys. If you've had trouble sticking to a plan, this is the book for you. I've never completed any 30-day workout program...EVER. But, this I could because it became my own personal journey. If you like structure, this may not be the book for you - but you will learn a lot about making both mental and physical fitness a daily routine which will benefit you long past any 30-90 workout program. This book makes me want to pay it forward with all that I've gained...beautiful book. I highly recommend.

I love Yogalosophy. I've had the DVD for over a year and just purchased the book recently. They are both great. Mandy Ingber is so positive, so down to earth and makes exercise fun. Her combination of yoga and toning exercises are easy to follow and very effective. She makes sure you are doing things correctly through lots of detailed instruction to help prevent injury and get the most out of each position. I like her lighter approach to yoga. I have low back problems and sore knees at times. I find her exercises help my aches and pains rather than make them worse. The book has daily "work" to do that lift my spirits and makes me focus on improving my mental outlook along with my body. I can't recommend it highly enough to anyone who just wants to feel good about themselves and maybe even look a little better in shorts :)

This method of yoga has been in popular fitness magazines and several well known actors workout with Mandy. Mandy begins the book by reminding us that we all have the perfect body. She believes that by "truly focusing on your body, visualize your best body, which is already strong, healthy, and shape, your body will respond."

Ingber wrote this book she describes as "an action plan to re-pattern your habits, to develop new self-talk, and help you to channel your emotions". She begins by telling us a little of her own story how her weight juggled throughout her life until she came to a point where she said, this is it, I don't want to do this anymore. The book Yogalosophy is based on more activities beyond yoga. She combines yoga postures with other exercises to get you in the great shape you're ready to be in.

Mandy wants the 28 day plan to be a fresh start for you and you can begin at any time. The book also contains guidelines for eating healthy with three diet options. There are 3 basic components to the plan:

1. Daily Action Checklist. Each day should begin with the Daily Action Checklist for that day. It guides you to set your intention for the day. She also includes a sample playlist of music for the day; a Yogalosophy Routine Variation in which she gives options to some of regular poses and exercises. She then includes the Cardio option in which Mandy gives some great examples of cardio exercise, but ultimately it is totally up to you to decide, and the activities conclude with a "Pose of the Day". There are more activities included in the Daily Action Checklist which will help you focus on your inner self.

2. The Yogalosophy Workout was designed by Ingber and she says that it can be modified for any level of fitness. This section of the book brings the workout to you. There are good instructions and the visuals are thorough. She tells you how many repetitions to complete and how long to hold the poses. In this way you can accommodate it to your needs.

3. Diet Plans and Recipes. The final section of the book is focused on the diet plans and how to eat healthy. She gives you a menu for each meal for a week of each of the three diets. She also provides a grocery list for each of the diets A, B, and C. The book concludes with some great recipes based on each of the diet plans.

I enjoyed this book. I benefited from the day by day approach. One day at a time kept me focused and not looking too far ahead. Each day was a pleasant variety with plenty of creativity. Her workout takes somewhere between 30-40 minutes to complete. Sometimes I had to vary it due to scheduling for the day, but most days I did the entire workout. If you are going to vary the workout then I suggest you do the entire workout and make it longer or shorter by increasing or decreasing repetitions.

Recommendation: Buy the paper format. Exercise books are hard to follow on Kindle.

The book is well written and insightful. The yoga DVD that comes with this book is a great workout, but got old after a few weeks. Then, she still expects you to do 45 minutes to an hour of cardio a day to get the desired results. Not a quick fix. Certainly not in 28 days. :)

I bought this book because she is so highly regarded and I desperately need to get my act together. Unfortunately, the key information is presented as a series of tables within the text (menus, to dos, etc) - and the tables have a blue fill and pale grey font for the copy. Completely and totally unreadable.

Tried it on the web reader, on my phone and on the Kindle Paperwhite and no luck.

Please consider reformatting the book and resubmitting to Amazon. I'd love to actually read it!
