Product Description

*** USA Today Bestseller - New Adult Contemporary Romance***
From USA Today and New York Times bestselling author Jo Raven comes the third installment in the Inked Brotherhood series which began with ASHER.

They call me Zen-man, the cool-headed one, the protector. I keep an eye out for everyone, take them in, find them homes. They think I’m the calm and collected one, the self-assured one, the one who knows the way. They think they see me. They think they know me.
But they’re all wrong, because inside I’m broken. I have a jagged hole in my soul I can’t fix, a festering blackness. I’ve been to the pits of hell, and nobody comes back unscathed. Life in foster care fucked me up, and now a thread is all that’s holding me together.
So I sleep around and never date, keeping chicks away. One day I’ll snap, and when I do, there’s no telling who I might take down with me.
All the same, there’s this one girl who won’t be scared away. Dakota. She’s hot, and I won’t deny I want her. But she keeps coming back, pushing me, trying to get me to talk, to open up to her.
She has no idea she’s playing with fire. When the demons come, she’d better be far away from me, just like everyone else.

Standalone novel. No cliffhanger.

Zane is the glue that holds the brotherhood together but his life is spiraling out of control. His sister is sick and he cannot deal with it. But will he let someone in to help with the problems he is having coping. Dakota may be able to help but only if he will let her in. I really enjoy Jo Raven's books and this one is no different. It is a good read.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great story! Oct. 30 2014
By Lena Loves Books - Published on

Jo Raven does it again. She writes a beautiful story about survival and love. Zane who is the savior to all those in the Inked Brotherhood, is now the one who needs to be saved. He is trying to deal with his abusive past and losing the only person he considered his real family. It all seemed insurmountable until he meets Dakota. She is not without demons herself. She had faired better, blessed with a tight knit supportive family and the heart of a fighter. The only thing missing from her life is Zane. She is the calm to his storm. Dakota’s determination and love allow her to break through his tough walls.

This is not your typical romance story. The struggles are ugly, but from that, beauty emerges building a more solid relationship not only between Zane and Dakota but also among the Inked brotherhood and the women in their lives.

5.0 out of 5 stars Falling into Hope Nov. 1 2014

Love this story of Zane & Dakota... He seems to be the 'go-to' guy of the brotherhood. He carries so much inside, afraid to let the demons of memories out. He tries to be there for them all, but who sees he is unraveling with so much stress??? Dakota carries her own scars & demons...but, she is drawn to Zane like a moth to a flame. He tries to keep her at arms length, just friends among the group of friends. She is persisent in her 'need' to be close to him, thinking they can help one another with their battles. As they travel a bumpy journey & give support to one another they discover feelings too long denied. Zane loses an important person in his life & almost loses himself. Dakota is determined he comes 'back' to her & will know the depth of her feelings. Together they can fight the nightmares, the demons, & enjoy their love for one another. The brotherhood & the girls with them offer their support & together this group is a 'family'.

5.0 out of 5 stars TRUE TO THE COURSE! Oct. 20 2015

Wow! I can't imagine the pain of Zane's childhood in foster care, yeah I know that the things he went through has and does continue to happen to the innocent children that have to live within a system that fails them so miserably. And that we as a society allow those type of people to be foster parents and those who run orphanages!!! I cried as I sympathized with both of the main characters and the other characters in all of the stories in this series, I myself have lost four brothers and my older sister, and both of my remaining siblings have had cancer of different types, and both my sister's and I were molested by our so-called father. I thought that you Jo have portrayed all of their past tribulations in a good and understanding way. Although it is a tough subject to address you have brought us who are reading about the lives of the characters a better understanding of their painful stories and a further awareness of the sorrows of those characters and thus the lives of those around us in the real world. Thanks for the great read!

5.0 out of 5 stars 5 stars is not enough. Nov. 1 2014

Oh my is all I can say about this book. I am not one to read series books but The Inked Brotherhood is absolutely perfect, these are my kind of books. I love every single character that is written in these books. Zane is a scarred soul with so much passion and drive that it is heartbreaking to see him succumb to his demons but it is heartwarming to see him overcome them with the love and support of Dakota. I loved every single second of this book as well as the other 2 and can't wait for more. These books do not have cliffhangers but i recommend you read each one, in order so that you understand the dynamic of the brotherhood. These books are definitely worth the money and if I could give them more than 5 stars I absolutely would. Read this book and the other 2, you will not be disappointed.
