This is my second book that I've read by Chelsea O'Neal and I must say that I thoroughly enjoyed this great story. Ms O'Neal brings all the characters back in this story and we get to see just how well their doing, which I really enjoyed because they are ready known to us and we'll not wondering what has became of them. This story begins one and half years later when the other story left off, but a lot has happened since that time , we find out that the evil is lurching everywhere and they are going to have the fight of their life .But the Zoku forces are growing strong each day with new people. Princess Daniah is about to be Queen and the people are happy ,that there might be a chance to for possible peace now. Will good be able to defeat evil at last for these people? Ms O'Neal has given us a story with a different twist about good vs evil and the characters are strong and the storyline flows so smoothly . This story will grab you and pull you into it's pages and keep you there from start to finish and will leave you wanting more. To get the whole storyline you should read the first book to understand whats going on in this great book. I could go on and tell you more about this great story ,but that would spoil it for you. I highly recommend that you read this great story ,you won't be disappointed.

HASH(0xa38505e8) out of 5 stars Better than book 1 July 18 2014

Subject - book review - Zoku's Hope

> Review

>I received this book from the author and from Paranormal Romance and Authors that Rock.

>This book is book 2 in the Angel Crest series and ends in a huge cliffhanger.

>The story of Daniah and Jadain continue. All of the character's are assembling at the castle for Dani's coronation as queen. We are introduced to a few more characters and one very evil, Damiana. This book includes a directory of characters and terms, finally. The sheer amount of odd terms and the many characters and their relationships are exhausting to keep track of.

>There are a few more love scenes between some new characters, which almost seem gratuitous. The story really didn't need the graphic sex as the story read more like a young adult novel.

> This book is for an adult audience due to sexual content.

HASH(0xa3617c54) out of 5 stars Much better July 13 2014

I actually enjoyed this a lot more than the first book. It flowed better, the story was a little more condensed and didn't feel dragged down. I think the ending was perfect.
"You can't take all our hope, we are numerous and we will endure!" This line certainly sums up the whole book well.
If you can get through the first book, this one is certainly an improvement.

My rating- out of 1-5:
Cover: 5 - it bright and stands out
Editing: 4 - some errors, nothing major
Plot: 4 - refreshing
Ending: 4 - well done

HASH(0xa3f4c494) out of 5 stars Compelling Read! June 12 2014

This second book in the angel crest series is a great one. The author has successfully created a parallel world to our own every day earth-lives, and provides an excellent escape into a place where angels roam and mysterious power struggles take place. If you are into fantasy and plot twists, this is the series for you!

The first two books in the Angel Crest series introduces a world where humans unknowingly live alongside Zoku, angel/human hybrids. Each book focuses on numerous story lines that ultimately converge as the novels progress. The opening scene in book one was a great premise.

This, however, is not a series for the faint of heart. There are a lot of characters to keep track of. Written in first person, the two books are told from more than ten different characters' points of view. I'm not sure if it's the first person POV or just the amount of characters that made it difficult for me to always keep track of who's head I was in when as the complex story lines unfolded. Kudos to Ms. O'Neal for bringing all the different stories together, but I feel that some character development got lost along the way. I admit I prefer more character-driven books, but if you like high fantasy, you will probably enjoy this high fantasy/romance hybrid.

I found the writing style, particularly in the first book, to be a tad slow. There is a reliance on adverbs to tell us what or how a character does something instead of showing their actions or reactions. I found myself skimming a lot of book one. The second book showed definite growth in writing style, and I enjoyed it much more.

Overall these books delve into the good vs. evil dichotomy that is a staple of fantasy in an interesting way. I anticipate that as Ms. O'Neal continues to grow as a writer, this series will become ever-more intriguing.

Man oh man what a great book. The author brings all the characters together in this book and you get to see what the others are doing, feeling, thinking. That makes the book that much better because you aren’t wondering what is happening with anyone else.
This book starts off about a year and half after the last book ended. So much has happened between the times and we find out that the evil that is lurching around every corner is going to have a fight on their hands. The Zoku forces are growing each and everyday with new people. The gifts that are joining together are so great. The princess Daniah is about to become the queen and the people are glad that there is a chance of peace and harmony. Will the good defeat the evil? Will the Evil prevail of the good? It’s a different twist on good vs. evil but I enjoy that even some that are on the bad side of the battle change over to the good side. That means all are not evil and there is a chance that their souls can be saved. Just like in real life.
You will have to read the first book to understand this book. You can find my review for that book also. Its Juniper’s Princess. I was asked by the author to read this and I jumped right on it because the first book caught my attention and I knew that this one would have to be just as good if not even better. There will be a third book how this one ends.
This books gets 4 ½ stars and I can’t wait for the next book.
