HASH(0xa33dbedc) out of 5 stars Tha Aviation Art of Keith Ferris April 6 2000
By Carlos Adrián Garcia - Published on
Format: Paperback
Long time ago, one friend did show me The Aviation Art of Keith Ferris. With this book I learned secrets for my profession in one country when to learn for paint aircraft don't exist like another place of the world. Today to find this copy of the book is to me so important to keep alive my firts steps in the aviation art.

HASH(0xa33dbea0) out of 5 stars One of the Greats! May 25 2008
By Thomas Luca - Published on
Format: Paperback
Just as Frank Wootton was a significant inspiration to him, he too (Keith Ferris) is mine! Keith's works are so exact that it's no wonder he wasn't an Industrial Designer.
My father introduced me to his art for the first time from this book "THE AVIATION ART OF KEITH FERRIS" and right off the bat I was amazed. I am beginning to collect his books and learn from his techniques and someday would like to meet him.

HASH(0xa3196e34) out of 5 stars Great for Technique. A prolific & well known avaition artist March 11 1998
By A Customer - Published on
Format: Paperback
If you are an active aviation artist, this book is worth picking up just to get a peek at Keith's approach to the fine craft of descriptive geometry. Many other aviation art books have since come on the market. This is an early entry. I would really like to see this done in hardback with some of Keith's more recent work added to it... J. I am a member of the American Society of Aviation Artist a group that Keith help create and chaired for years. The man is a legend to all and justifiably so. He has worked free lance for some of the biggest Aviation players in the world. He has traveled through the Air Force Art Program and created a visual artistic history of Aviation. This book came out in the 70's. I bought it then. It has been such a resource that the book fell apart. I had to finally buy a new one. The book was that important to my work that I had to. If you want the Daddy of Aviation Art this is the man and an essential book you have got to have.
