What types of balance boards are available?
Today's balance boards come in a wide range of sizes and styles, but the most common are wobble boards, rocker boards, roller boards and bosu balls. Wobble balls are the most popular, offering 360-degree movement that keeps users on their toes. Rocker boards, which consist of a circular board on a fulcrum, are the easiest to use. The roller board, also known as a rocker roller, takes things up a notch by including a cylindrical wheel that moves independently of the board. Bosu refers to 'both sides used' and comprises an inflated semisphere that can be used either dome-side up, or flipped over to become a wobble board.
