I love Amber Rose because of the vulnerability she reveals to her fans and this book is no different, she gets personal. The content wasn't exactly groundbreaking, her rules are pretty simple to live by and you'll probably have heard it all before, but said in a different way. Amber pretty much says the same thing you hear all the time but in a way you might find more relatable. I would have liked to learn more about how she handles herself as a business woman and her various business pursuits and more specific lessons she learned in this area. I feel like you didn't get much of that which is why this book only got 4 stars.Great book. Happy to support her by purchasing.

Received this yesterday and instantly read it from cover to cover- fabulous! HTBABB is full of REAL wisdom about how to hold your own in a world of double standards and mixed messages. The book is well done with beautiful photo spreads and contains lots of Amber's unique personal commentary in the form of stories which I loved reading. I admire that Amber's voice really shines in this book from her humor to her brutal honesty about handling negativity and jealousy. The "10 rules to live by" though simple is something that many women forget to follow, 1. hold your head high 2. always smile 3. be kind to people serving you in any way (waiters, beauticians, anyone) 4. always listen more than you talk 5. know when to leave a situation when you're not wanted 6. never hide your needs, including food! no one likes a h(angry) girl 7. think before opening your mouth 8. no yelling 9. if you mess up- own it, apologize (pride kills relationships) 10. never be a hater- compliment other women! The dominant message that emerges in HTBABB that you should always hold your head high, act with class and focus on making yourself happy while lifting others up as well. Jealously and negativity is the most unattractive attitude a woman can have and it ultimately will hold you back from pursuing your dreams and affect your romantic relationships. HTBABB is the modern anthem of empowerment and a useful guide for any woman wanting to understand her feminine power and get what she wants out of life. I'm 100% team Amber.

What I also love about this book is that it's an easy read, and not too wordy, you basically don't have to have Dictionary.com open on a browser like I had to when I read Bram Stoker's Dracula. Also, her intelligence in this book is build up from experiences, she may not be talking like a lawyer from Harvard, she speaks from first hand experiences and has an open mind about the world. She sums up what I've strive to do every day, and that is knowing what I want and getting it without worrying about people's opinions.
