I was randomly googling this and that. What happened to Leanne Rimes first husband I wondered and found he is a legitimate trained chef with a cookbook, After reading a few articles I learned he was very health aware as well. When I found a few recipes of his online I realised his cookbook would not have overly rich ingredients. At first I was going to order a used copy but decided it was worth getting a new one. I was not disappointed. There are great photos of most of the recipes I think and the ingredients are not hard to obtain if they are not already on hand.As well this is not a "use a can of soup" book. It also includes some smoothie and other beverage recipes ,desserts etc. So glad I tripped across this book.

Great, easy to make and easy to follow recipes. I also really like the suggested tools list at the front. A handy guide for a basic kitchen set-up. I would absolutely recommend this book, It will be my go to for cocktail and house parties.

A Beautiful Feast of a Cookbook
Reviewed in the United States on February 25, 2016Verified Purchase
I love to cook, but have no practical "training" but for my Mom teaching me the basics. But I like recipes that are easy and ones that have some creative flair to them; provided they aren't so hard to follow the outcome is a guess. This cookbook is perfect in that it has recipes for all levels of cooks and even the more complicated ones are broken down with easy to follow steps, processes, and controls so you know the dish will be a success. I also liked there are many vegetarian recipes in here as my husband and I eat meat-free quite often. The book opens up with a brief history that explains, with grace and class, what drove him to change his life and enter a new field as a world-class chef. I had a great respect for this young man in how he owned up to his own perceived failings and took charge of his life and his happiness.
So many wonderful new recipes - from simple hummus and coconut chai pudding to complex tastes and textures (ginger maple butter - YUM!) The photography is breathtaking as well, making this book a feast for more than the sense of taste.

A good fit for me
Reviewed in the United States on February 26, 2016Verified Purchase
My main reason for buying this cookbook was to try some healthy recipes that were a bit more technical but still achievable. I have an auto immune illness and have really been able to manage symptoms through diet. I'm a pretty basic home cook and looking to improve. On first glance, flipping through, I was really intimidated by some of the recipes. Later that night I spent some time really looking at each one and saw that there are many that are well suited for me.The ingredients are familiar and in comparison to a lot of other recipes, there is not a ton of of them per recipe. For most part these aren't real time consuming recipes. It also has little tips thrown in so that was a plus. As other reviewers stated, the layout/look is really good. I think it may be the best looking cookbook I've owned. It's not cluttered, the letter sizing is nice and large, and pictures are impressive. I was really happy there were also recipes for healthy drinks and iced coffee. So this did turn out to be a good fit for me.
Update: I've tried the pizza, steak with chimichurri, chocolate chip cookies with caramel sauce, and tomatillo salsa so far. All tasted excellent.

Cookbook perfection!!
Reviewed in the United States on February 11, 2016Verified Purchase
I love cooking & read food blogs & cookbooks like others read magazines & novels. I checked out the sneak peek for this book & knew I was going to love it. It didn't disappoint! Before reading Dean's intro, I would have pegged him as driven & disciplined, and that's pretty much how he describes himself. And those qualities seem to have served him well in creating this cookbook. It's loaded with so many scrumptious recipes & great tips. And he clearly knew what he was doing when he assembled his team. Gorgeous photography, beautiful layout. Perfection!! The first two recipes I've tried: Slow-Baked Salmon w/Miso Glaze....YUMM!!! and Sugar Snap Pea & Radish Salad w/Roast Sesame Ponzu....OMG DELISH!!! I'd love to see Dean get a cooking show so we could watch him make some of these recipes.

.Love this book!!

I've seen Dean Sheremet cook on various television shows over the years and always loved not only his cooking but his personality. I was so excited to find out that he was coming out with his own cookbook! I knew that, as a classically trained chef, the recipes would be incredible, but also way out of my league to recreate. I didn't care, I pre-ordered it anyway. I was right in one respect; the recipes in the book are incredible, and the photos are beautiful. But I was wrong about the recipes being difficult for me. He breaks down everything so simply that even I can follow his directions and make this beautiful food. We are eating healthier, more satisfying food and I can't wait for his next cookbook!

I posted on twitter that I was not happy with the book and was blocked

I think Dean is very talented on so many levels...I posted on twitter that I was not happy with the book and was blocked. I would like to explain...I am not a chef or wealthy, so I cannot fix all of the fancy stuff. I was hoping for more down to earth recipes for the everyday joe...Dean your book is fabulous for those who are in the same category as your excellent culinary skills...I am not. I did not get to explain myself before the LR, haters and the BG, trolls started their attacks...I followed you on twitter, getting many great ideas on working out. I miss that.
