This shoe rack is good and looks sturdy but after assembling it using the product 2 shelve broke as shown in the picture. Not only that but when I open and close the door gently a couple of times some shoes gets stuck behind the shelve resulting in all the rest of the shoes falling off the shelves.I tried the returning it after a couple of weeks because shoes kept falling off. But there was no option to return it. If this was $20 - $40 Id definitely say it was worth it and would have made some adjustments on my own. Not the money’s worth to be honestThank you

This works quite well. The ability to fold some rows up to allow for taller boots is nice. The rack feels quite sturdy, and was pretty easy to put together.

It was wider than I'd expected. We have a lever-style doorknob on our closet door, so I ended up having to cut a slot in one side of it to accommodate the doorknob, in order to be able to centre in in the door.

I'd recommend before purchasing it that you take a boot, and place it behind the door, not too far from the hinge, and take a look at how far open you can swing the door. Once you've got boots and shoes hanging off the back of your door, you may not be able to open it all the way anymore. In my case this wasn't a huge problem, but it has made it a little bit harder to get at one side of the closet than I'd been expecting. I can't fault the design of the rack, I just wish I'd taken some more time to think through how this was going to fit, before making my decision.

Putting it together was fairly easy. Hung it on the door and placed shoes on it and the sides snapped off in 3 areas. You can't put them back on. The bottom rungs weren't parallel either. A lot of money for something so cheaply made. It is a wonderful concept if it was made with better materials. Returned it.

This is my first review written on Amazon even though I bought lot's of products in the past. I received the rack this morning, it was fairly easy to install. I went slowly and it took me about 20 min . As was said in previous review, make sure you have a hammer to ensure the pegs are firmly in place in socket. The end result is great. I put 25 pairs of women shoes (including boots) and I have room for a few more. I placed the rack on the inside of a closet door and it is saving a lot of floor space. It also looks very neat. I am very happy with this purchase and definitely recommend it!

Technically 3.5 Stars: It's been a great purchase for my small flat--It is sturdy enough for light shoes, but be careful with heavier ones like boots.

Structure:
The entire shelf is held by the side frames with plastic rods inserted between them. So my complaint mostly is on the price.

Function;
The design for the purpose is actually good. I lined the rack with a piece of plastic so that the dirt from my shoes won't scrape the clothes. As for width, I can fit 3 pair of regular shoes across (7.5 US women), but it depends when it comes to boots and sneakers.

Recommendation for Using:
- Try not to overload each shelf - I guarantee that the rack will warp and make everything fall (from experience)
- Try not to have anything obstructing the rack when you close the door --again, it can cause the rack to warp and the poles to collapse.

It is well designed, and it is holding up well. However, it is too wide for use with a closet door, it fits a standard door and not a closet door! You need to install the small and round Velcro adhesive pads (included) to support it in the middle and at the bottom.

It can be assembled by one person, it took me about 15 minutes to take it out of the box and assemble it, and it took me an additional 10 minutes to hung it and attach the velcro adhesives.

It beats some of the less costly competitor products by providing a metal bracket that overhangs the door which prevents it from falling down after the installation.

This thing promises so much and delivers so little. It's incredibly disappointing. First, it claims to be able to hold 36 pairs of shoes. However, the amount of space between each rack is so small that unless you're only putting ballet flats on it, you can only use every other row. I'm also a size 11-12 and most of my shoes are hanging way out of the bars so they sometimes fall off when I move the door. The bars that hold the shoes themselves are also very unstable. They're supposed to click into place between the holders, but they don't. They are constantly falling off and it's incredibly annoying. The structure is made of a very flimsy plastic which I feel like will break if you put any more than 15 pairs of solid shoes on it. Unfortunately, I still have it in my apartment because I haven't found a replacement I'd like, but this thing honestly gives me a headache everytime I look at it.

It is possible that I received a defective product. Difficult to assemble due to the fact that the rods would not stay in the holes, they would constantly pop off. Once assembled any movement to the shoe rack would cause a rod to pop off and would not hold shoes because of it
Thankfully the seller was very nice and allowed a full return. It's unfortunate that the product itself was so poorly made and of low quality.

Certainly holds my shoes and ankle boots better than I thought it would. I have a lot of shoes and needed desperately to organize them so I give this shoe rack a thumbs up....Can put three pairs across one shelf if they aren't too large... Example: Can't place three ankle boots across but can fit a pair of sandals and two ankle boots.... Not significant enough for me to deduct a star because they hold them so well. The other over the door rack I had my shoes kept slipping off the rack when I closed the door. This rack holds them securely.... Would recommend... Hope this help you to decide.....

I just opened and put the rack together today. I do see what some of the reviews mean when they say it’s flimsy, but I don’t think this would be a problem if you put together the product correctly. I would recommend putting the rack together on hard floors, rather than carpet. The plastic makes it hard for you to put the rods in without a stable surface. Really make sure that all the rods are all the way in. Also, the hinges seemed a little big, but you can adjust them to fit your door (if it’s smaller than the hinges). However, the way the hinges are, you have to have them facing the direction the door closes in. The back of the hinges bulk outward so they will make it a little harder to close your door if you have that part in between the door and the doorframe. This is only important if you want to put your shoe rack in a specific place. I wanted the shoe rack on my room door facing inside my room, but because of the hinges, the shoe rack would’ve face on the outside of my room. I ended up just moving the shoe rack onto my closet door, but it’s something to think about. Ultimately, you could have the shoe rack facing whatever direction, but it bothers me if the door doesn’t open/close smoothly. The shoe rack also comes with these tiny but super sticky Velcro to put between the bottom of the rack and the door. I noticed that my rack didn’t sit evenly on my door (probably due to how to put it together or something), but the Velcro fixed this problem. Overall, it’s a good shoe rack if you have a lot of shoes and little space. I’ll update if it starts falling apart.

Edit: it’s been about 3-4 months. The shoe rack is still holding. But just make sure you have the bottom of the rack secured to the door. The weight of your shoes will push against the door and the rack will end up lifting forwards and your shoes on the bottom shelves will fall through. I added an image showing this
