These is a very no-frills pants and they don't even have any pockets (the product description is wrong). However, I had a chance to test them during a 4 hour hike in constant rain, and they do keep you absolutely dry, and they were more comfortable than I expected. After a little while I forgot I was even wearing them. Especially at its discounted price (I bought for ~$45), very highly recommended.

The negative first. There are no pockets! That is an error in the info provide. They are super light weight and thin. Not sure if that's a negative yet so time will tell. I kept them because they fit well and the large size fits perfectly for a 6ft 195lb guy with a slight belly .lol I own other columbia products and the quality and fit are perfect. Since I bought these to walk the dog when it rains then they should last me out since I'm 69. My 3 stars are for the value for what I paid.. not because they have no pockets. Even on sale they are over priced but Amazon still beat other prices. The quality of the product seems good. They are loose fitting in the leg so should fit easily over other pants and the waist is stretchy enough to fit also though I'm not sure if a belt on other pants would cause damage., Ordering an xl for me would have been too big so again these fit as they should so I suggest ordering your waist size.

There are NO pockets with the pants I received. The pants seem fine but I have yet to put them to a real test. I do not know how to rate a product when it is not as advertised. Pants probably perform well but they are not as advertised so I have to rate them poorly.

These are a great set of pants, just as functionally advertised. As an aside, adding a couple of waterproof outside zip pockets would make for a great upgrade model option.

When ordering the 'S / Ins 32"' size a 'S / Ins 30"' was received. Explained the wrong size was sent and proceeded with the exchange process, but received the wrong 30" inseam size again.

Breaks my heart to write this as I love Columbia sportswear gear, but this purchase was a massive disappointment and I got my trousers on an absolute bargain?? I would have sent it back if I'd paid anything remotely close to retail but they will do as a spare pair? I ordered another more useful pair direct from Columbia UK site but paid a ridiculous amount £££ The listing description for Amazon is for a different product??? Elastane?? 100% nylon? There are supposed to be 4 pockets??? DOH!!! There are exactly none??? Sizing is neat to say the least and I just had a pair of joggers on when I tried them on? Only time will tell if they are remotely breathable? Very disappointing experience !!

I walk to work every day (only a mile) and needed something to keep my pants dry on our frequent rainy days. These are exactly what I wanted/needed, the fit is loose enough so they don't feel constricting and so I can pull them on over my shoes - not boots (haven't tried yet). There is velcro at the cuffs for a more custom fit and the fabric is breathable so moisture does not build up on the inside.

I have used these in driving rain and constant drizzle and have been comfortable and dry. As a bonus and as expected, they block the wind and create an insulating layer which helps to keep me warm on cooler days. I have not had the opportunity to try them out in the snow to really test the insulating factor (not what they were made for).

I have used these in warm weather as well (mid 60s) and did not feel hot or uncomfortable. These roll up nicely and fit in my computer book bag so they live there most of the time with my light weight rain jacket.

these work exactly as advertised and I am happy with the quality, fit and performance.
