I somewhat overlooked this album (emotion by canadian carly rae jepsen...queen of gender-genre fusing intense synth-pop). I am such of fan of carly's "Dedicated" album but after the behest of a friend I gave it a proper listen (in 24 bit 44.1kHz no less!) I now rate it on par as "Dedicated" for having endlessly welcoming superb musical psych moments of traditional saturated candy pop to intellectual numbers like "Black Heart", for instance..mature, weird notes and clever probing and descriptive verbal vistas painted with lyrics that are accentuated by cool inclusion of little hooks in her breaths etc. A masterpiece in commercial art pop music that dreams aloud. The emotion of yearning, love, crushes and desire are expressed with perfection - probing and explosive with those fortifying chills crawling and sweeping over your body triggered continuously.Reviewed in Canada on December 28, 2019
