One year of twice daily use and this little plastic rack has held up! I’m kind of surprised because it’s so plasticky and feels pretty cheap. However, I’ve had nothing but great success. You can’t beat the price for the organizational benefit it gives.

Easy to assemble and light weight. It’s so light weight, I worried about it falling apart when I carried it to my bedroom after assembly. So I duct taped the joints, but it turns out that was not necessary as the shelf has held up very well. I’ve had it four months and use it every day at least twice a day and it’s still in perfect working condition. It holds my wedges, flats, spike heels. There are spaces between the horizontal bars which I thought was going to be a problem for my pumps. However, the pumps sit wedged between the bars, which works well (you can see my pumps on the left side of the 2nd and 3rd shelves. The rack holds 20 pairs of my shoes and is a lifesaver in our tiny little closet.

When I bought this show rack it was honestly a great investment because you can fit so many of your shoes onto it. The only reason I would hesitate to buy this again is because it can come apart very easily so you have to be very careful placing and taking off your shoes. If that's not really a bother to you then this is definitely worth the purchase.

This rack would be decent for a closet or someplace it will never be moved. My teenage son assembled it and had it up in a matter of minutes. It holds a good amount of shoes, but it is not sturdy at all. When the rack is full it cannot be moved because the pieces will fall out of their holding place and then you must take all the shoes off to reassemble. In my opinion, if the rack is going to be large enough to store up to 16 pairs of shoes, it needs to be sturdy enough to handle the weight of 16 pairs of shoes. It MIGHT hold the weight of 16 pairs of flip flops. I don't regret the purchase because I spent less than $30. Also, it works fine for what I'm using it for, but if I have to move the rack for any reason I have to take all the shoes off before moving.

Pieces fit together perfectly and had it assembled in just a few minutes. It’s light weight, holds four pairs of shoes per shelf and having used Gorilla Glue to secure each connection it’s strong and does not sway. You can add up to four more shelves using a second kit.
Some reviews show it swaying or needing tape to hold it together. GLUE IT and be sure the parts are firmly inserted all the way and you’ll have a strong finished product.
P.S. If you turn the shelving unit upside down you'll effectively have a fifth shelf with the floor acting as the bottom shelf.
