Borosilicate is stronger than traditional “soda-lime” glass and can be used for everything from drinkware to cookware. Due to the natural properties of the boron particles, the glass is held together tighter, resulting in a stronger, lighter glass. Borosilicate glass doesn’t need to be as thick as traditional glass to be just as strong due to the bonding capability boron oxide.

Borosilicate glass is a heat-resistant glass that is perfectly suited for hot and cold drinks.

While borosilicate glass is naturally lighter than traditional glass it is stronger and more resistant to temperature changes and scratching.

I am just getting into making my own espresso, cappuccino, cafe au lait, etc. Great experience. Came across these glasses and thought they would be perfect for cappuccino. They appear well made, hold heat in while drinking, and look appealing. The only thing is that one of the glasses has two black lines inside the glass. You can't remove them unfortunately. They don't affect the glasses however it is annoying and makes them less than perfect.
