Product description
Description: How does a more compact and more economic Raspberry Pi sound to you? The Raspberry Pi 3 A+ is here and, like the Raspberry Pi 3 Model B+, it boasts a 64-bit quad core processor running at 1.4GHz, dual-band 2.4GHz and 5GHz wireless LAN, and Bluetooth 4.2/BLE. The RPi3 A+ is still equipped with the same 64-bit processor as the B+ version but has removed the Ethernet connector and three of the USB ports (leaving you with just one). It still also has the same 2x20 GPIO header and CSI/DSI connectors, making it usable with all of your existing HATs, cameras, and other peripheries. This single-board computer is capable of many of the things your desktop PC does, like spreadsheets, word processing and playing high-definition video and games. It can run several flavors of Linux and is being used to teach kids all over the world how to program… Oh yeah, and it does all that for about $30.

Update - sent back for refund and ordered another one.. (I realise now this was from a different Fullfilled by Amazon seller). So, the second one was dented in the box, took it out and the screen ribbon connector block was bent over sideways. Just the lighest of touches to move it back and it came away from the board. However, this one does boot and work and I'm not likely to use the screen connector. They need to be packaged better as I nearly sent this one back too. I'm just hoping as its hanging on 1 pin it doesnt short anything... not having much luck with these, but cant be bothered to return it. The packaging had a sticker saying 'NewItem' but I think this was a return.

Check out the photo I added of the resource manager while printing to see The resources used and how much headroom you have.

Be aware that it doesn’t have the same amount of RAM and ports as the B+, so check your requirements carefully. I use a usb hub when not using headless.
Wouldn’t recommend as an everyday computer. Browsing is a little slow but great for fun projects.
I do find these a little pricier than some other places but the quick delivery was what persuaded me..
You do need to know what you are doing with these little computers but it's not difficult to learn.
It's a cracking little unit, would have got 5*s if the price had been that little bit lower...
