We were just in an accident with this mirror and it did end up breaking. When the side air bags deployed they hit the mirror where it was mounted on the head rest and broke the corner of the glass out. It didn't shatter, but its definitely not unbreakable. I'm glad the piece that came out didn't hurt the baby

No, you can only see one child. It’s a good mirror and easy to adjust the positioning. I don’t think any of the mirrors would show 2 kids. I think you would have to buy 2.
