This 430W power supply from EVGA is a great value, especially if you can grab it on sale for $40. The power supply looks and feels very high quality for something that costs so little. The feel and quality of this budget power supply is about on par with some $60-$80 power supplies I have used. I bought this power supply to use in a basic budget build for my younger brother who wanted to get into PC gaming. Paired with an AMD FX-6300 CPU and Nvidia GTX 750Ti, this little box does wonders. Not once has there been an issue with not enough power getting to the system, or power being cut/inconsistent. This power supply is reliable, and with a 3 year warranty from EVGA themselves there is little to worry about.
Installation was simple and quick. The power supply arrived nicely packaged and well protected with screws for installation, a power cable and standard manuals and warranty slips. The cables are non-modular, which can be expected from a budget end power supply, but were neatly wrapped in a mesh material. To install, all that was required was to sit the unit in the case, line up the screw holes, and fix it in place with the provided screws.
Everything about this budget power supply felt high quality, and it is easy to tell that EVGA takes pride in even their cheaper products. I would recommend this company for any power supply purchase in the future. The only issue with this power supply that I could find is when it isn't on sale, the 500W version is the same price. That just doesn't make sense? If you are in the looks for a power supply in your budget PC build, and you can nab this guy for $40 or less, its a good deal. If not grab the 500W so you have some extra breathing room for expansion in the future. Cheers!
