I should start by quoting another great instructor: " If you can't get it in your head - you can't get it in your skiing". Ken is an engineer and a great skier ( He scored very high marks on his Level 3 CSIA instructors' exam and that is hard to do ). Thus; his book is small and describes efficient skiing - efficiently. His readers will skip the usual "introduction to skiing" as well as dated or invented terminology. He had me from the first sentence when he said: 'Save energy for apres ski ' and the fine writing continued throughout the book. Ken's terms are simple: Align, Balance and Coil. "The whole foot and nothing but the foot ". If you read this book carefully and look for his description in your own skiing, you will be much farther ahead. Writers should write what they know. I just hit 160 days this season and was over 150 the last two as well... This is a bang on description of skiing.
