Great, but a bit expensive when compared to their TinderSticks

Let's get two things straight:
1) Yes, you are paying this much money for a stick of wood
2) Yes, it really does work!
It's very easy to create shavings - much easier than a magnesium block. These shavings catch fire readily and burn energetically. 50g weight doesn't sound like much, but I only needed about 4-5g to start the fire with these (I threw dried cedar branches on top and they readily caught fire).
The only downside of this item is it's quite expensive compared to Light My Fire's TinderSticks. My advice would be to take a look at those, unless you need to have it in your pocket or "on a rope". With TinderSticks you get about 4 times the amount of the same wood and they can be easily split up into several sets. The only downside of those is that you can't easily carry them in your pocket but they'll still be fine in a bag or a backpack.
