Loads of rope. Holds up well to stress. Easy to use.

Simple installation - with the right tools and a ladder. Holds up my 90 pound canoe up and isn't hard to pull it up. Getting it down can be a little tricky, but that's because the locking mechanism on the pulley works so well - though it is causing some wear on the rope, that'd be practically impossible to avoid with any design. I have the pulleys attached at 13 feet and I have plenty of rope left over when the canoe is fully lowered.
I switched out the straps from the kit and replaced them with ratchet straps so I could get a the straps tight around the canoe and tight to the pulleys, getting almost another 2 feet of headroom under it.
I did learn a lesson early on and only had tension on one side of the ropes, releasing the tension locking system up at the pulley, dropping the opposite end of my canoe. Luckily it only fell a few inches and no damage was done. So lesson learned, always keep tension on both ropes and don't stand under it while lowering or raising.
