Great PSU, I've been using it to power a GTX 1070 and a Ryzen 7, and no power issues so far (had it for almost a year).
Based on other reviews, I've turned OFF the ECO mode from day one because they're stating that this specific PSU model overheats and fails when in ECO mode. The fans are really quiet so it doesnt bother me at all.
My only wish is for the PSU to be more compact (its 165mm VS 140mm of some other brands). Make sure you got sufficient space, because it barely fits in my fractal design meshify c.
If you value your PC components and good RMA/ customer service EVGA trumps Corsair.
Included power cables come in a braided sleeve which is good for all intents and purposes but I would still recommend a cable mod power cable kit for easier cable management since the tension on the sleeves when trying to bend them into routing ports behind the case is a pain. It comes with a pouch to keep your power sleeves and a 10 year warranty, what more can you ask for aside from a discount.
A rather expensive power supply however, the quality of it is almost unmatched. I have paired this up with a R5 2700X and a 2080TI and it works very smoothly — having used a 650W G3, I can say this power supply is a lot quieter and more stable since it has a second 4+4 pin EATX cable for OC. The price though... Unless you’re going for a completely overkill system, or have all the money in the world, the cost-savings isn’t worth justifying paying such a high price.
EVGA make great power supplies. Easy install, enough cables (I use EVGA custom cables), and super quiet even in non-Eco mode. I have the G2 in another build and decided to one-up to the P2. Nothing to say but it's good. 850W is more than enough for the 9900K and 1080ti Hybrid along with loads of peripherals. I have it inside a Fractal Design R6 case which has a bottom shroud so I can't admire the beauty of the PSU. Oh well.
Arrived three days ahead of the scheduled delivery date and in perfect condition. All of the parts were included in the package and replacement of the old PS took about 1 hour. Excellent power supply, fully modular and performing as advertised. Improvements that can be made and should have been made long ago are much thinner, more flexible cables, better identification of cables, much brighter markings on the PS to show where the cables go, and a better way of releasing the cable on both ends - the plastic clips require far too much pressure, particularly in close quarters as is usually the situation when replacing an existing unit.
I had purchased a corsair rm850x 5 months ago, and within 3 months the power supply was faulty with capacitor issues. As soon as I installed this power supply from Evga it fixed the problem immediately. I usually don't write reviews, but this is an excellent power supply and everything is of a high quality, even the small things such as velcro straps for easy wire management. Buy this power supply you won't regret it.
One thing I will mention however is that this is a very big power supply...so make sure you have the room for it, it was approximately 0.5-1 inch bigger than the corsair I replaced it with.
Perfect modular cabling power supply. It comes with plenty of cables, that are all of good length to reach spots in mid and full-size towers. I have this running a 8700K with a single 1080. It is pleasantly quiet.
First modular supply I've used. The setup is simple, wire management is extremely easy to do since you can handle things one wire at a time. Fan is absolutely silent and I really don't even have to think about this component. Finish is great and the supplied cords (so many varied cords were supplied) were all braided and look great in the case.
