If you like me, have a Dell small factor desktop (Dell Inspiron 3668 desktop) which comes with a meager 240 watt power supply, this card is the best you can get. Pros: - Very power efficient. No need to spend : $50 for a more powerful power supply plus a $ 20 cable adaptor. This card gets all its juice from the motherboard because it is rated a low 75 Watt. Also, upgrading the power supply would have been a nightmare because of the ridiculous proprietary 6 pin Dell motherboard molex plug. - Its compatible with OEM machines. It was a plug and play and the easiest to install. Windows 10 took care of sourcing out the driver and automatically install it. You might want to download the latest driver from Nvidia down the road to get the Nvidia control panel. - Fan is barely audible when idling. Temperature at idle=32 c. At load = 58 c. - I stress tested it and my machine was very stable even with the small 240 Watt power supply i have. - The price is less than the comparable 1050ti.
Notes: - I use this card for medium duty CAD work and rendering, so, your experience with gaming might differ from mine. - I believe there are cards out there from AMD that might have better value than this, but none of them fits in a small factor desktop or they will require an expensive power supply upgrade.
Installation worked first try. No issues. There seems to be quite a number of criticisms of this card, however, for it's low energy requirements (75w) and low power supply needs (300w minimum) it's a terrific card.
