Holy mother, this book was AWESOME and I'm chomping at the bit for book 2!
Callie Rose's "The Help" is a reverse harem high school bully romance with some fantastic characters that will get your blood pumping. It's full of angst, suspense, mystery, heat, and romance. We are introduced to Harlow and her mom Penelope as they prepare for their move to Connecticut. After many years of being down on their luck, it appears as though they've caught the break they need and will be working for the rich and prestigious Black family. Almost immediately upon arriving, Harlow can tell that the Black family isn't exactly as they appear; between the overly friendly Mr. Black, the stand-offish and spaced out Audrey Black and the cold and angry Lincoln Black, Harlow has her hands full. When Harlow meets Lincoln's friends River, Dax, and Chase and it's obvious these 4 are not her biggest fans she knows this move won't be all her mother has dreamed of.
This book had me hooked in the first chapter! I absolutely love how quickly things have started to heat up between Harlow and the guys. I just know that their relationships will continue to flourish in book two. Harlow is a feisty, strong-willed girl who isn't going to lay down and take what these boys are dishing out. This, along with the surprising twists and turns that Callie incorporates, had me on the edge of my seat! We still have so much to learn...and the ending -- Let's just say, I need book two YESTERDAY! It's a doozy of a cliffhanger but it will be well worth the wait!
All I can say is wow, I loved this book and need book two now please! I absolutely love that Harlow has a backbone right the beginning. This book has so many twists and turns that will keep you guessing and make it impossible for you to put the book down. This is the second book I have read by this author and I cannot wait to read what she has in the future.
