Just received this item today (mini display port to VGA - black), hooked it up to my late 2013 Macbook Pro 15" then connected it to my Samsung LN650 (40") for my test. Worked as I hoped it would and was much less than the Apple version.

The connections seemed to fit quite nice and I swapped the ports a couple of times just to make sure it still worked.

One note of interest I am using Yosemite and with the new version of Safari I keep getting display error in Netflix so upon searching it was recommended to use Chrome and that worked for me (not a reflection of the device I'm reviewing).

I bought the Mini DisplayPort to HDMI adaptor to connect a Microsoft Surface Pro to a monitor with DVI input, using an HDMI to DVI cable. It works perfectly. If and when I purchase a monitor with HDMI input I will be able to connect to it with one of the many HDMI to HDMI cables I own.

I also have a Mini DISplayPort to HDMI cable. I use it to connect another Microsoft Surface Pro to an HDMI monitor. It also works perfectly.

Purchased this adapter for Lenovo T430S and it works flawlessly for both outputs: video and sound. Also, the adapter looks very sturdy and clean. Product in fact looks slightly nicer than the photo. It does not have the 'cheap material' look, which is always a plus. A very good product for a good price. If I need another adapter to convert from Mini DisplayPort to HDMI, I will purchase this again.

I bought this for my new 13 inch MacBook Air. It works well. Plugged it in and worked right away. It doesn't look as nice as the Apple version but it gets the job done at a fraction of the price. Would recommend this to anybody who needs an HDMI adapter for their Mac.

Good adapter, I use it for my surface pro 3. The connector feels a little loose, it would be nice if it was more of a snug fit. Not sure if that is the fault of my surface pro 3 or this adapter.

Says it supports 1080p but outputting from my macbook pro to 30 inch apple cinema display the max is 800p. 1080p is already a huge downgrade from the max res of 1600p for the display but I thought I could handle it. 800p is a joke, I can count the pixels from 4 feet away. This is designed for an apple product, I'd like to have been warned it does not output at it's highest resolution with this popular apple display.
