Great product, great quality, firmware could be better but does an amazing job as is. Version 4 has 24 ethernet ports + 2 sfp ports (not shared).
Some product descriptions define the GS724T as having POE but it does not.

pretty much works out of the box. I use it for my home network and not yet using any of the smart features etc in a custom/special way. I only watch TV over internet connection have many smart phones/tablets, so I hope the smart features are helping. I didn't not notice a difference between before using it and after.

Working well and running cool. I used two Intel X540-T2 PCI cards purchased for hundred US dollars on ebay. This switch instantly showed 10 Gbps link with my homemade and crimped CAT6 wiring of 30 meters.
CAT6a or CAT7 was not required.
