I bought these as postal scales and also to weigh out smaller hard to count product for packaging. I find they work absolutely perfect. I've shipped several items and they are bang on with the post office scales. My only complaints are 1) I thought they would be a bit bigger I know the dimensions are listed but it's hard to tell size until you see them and for the most part this is actually a plus I love the compactness and the fact they can weigh very small increments (10th of a gram something you normally only find in smaller "weed" scales) but go up to 2 kg but sometimes my packages are a bit bulky for bubble mailers and need to be boxed and this is where size is an issue as it is a bit hard to see the read out. 2) I can't seem to figure out the counting function so it's not reaching it's full potential for checking inventory as I need an accurate count. and 3)I do find that all though they weight down to a 10th of a gram and are as I mentioned very accurate they don't function well or at all below a gram so if you were to try and weight out very small amounts of something it would be hard. However the 2 supplied pans which double as covers for the scale when not in use are perfect and with the tare function a breeze to weight small things that might spill or roll of the scale. And finally I might add that this came very fast and was early as well. I definitely recommend this and would buy again.

I don't write a lot of reviews but I've gotten like 4 emails in 3 days asking for one, so here we go. It looks like the picture. It's a $20 scale that looks like a... $50 scale? I dont have a lot of frame of reference to be honest. It does look nice, but my last exposure to a digi was almost 20 years ago, and the only people who could afford one of these were dealers selling by the dimebag. They were like a couple hundred bucks minimum back then, so getting this for $20 was pretty cool. I haven't had much to do with dealers since then so I don't see many digital scales in my daily life anymore. But it looks nice and it weighs stuff. I'd post a pic but I bought it to weigh casting powder for art molds, and the powder is white, so it probly would have looked like I was weighing blow. Which I'm not. I transitioned from experimenting teen to grownup nerd a pretty long time ago, and those dealers (they weren't weighing blow either by the way, that stuff was expensive!) always looked a bit stressed. Of course, working for an insurance company is also stressful, and dealers don't have to wear dress shirts...

I guess I would recommend this scale, based on the fact that it's cheap and still looks to my frame of reference like something that would cost a lot more. Also, they sent me a lot of emails asking for this review, and I wanted that to not happen anymore. 4 on 5 because it did not fix my marriage. That speaker I bought a while back (not from these guys) didn't fix that either though so I guess the scale is ok.

Someone asked:
"What is the minimum capacity? Many scales here seem to hide the minimum -- usually 3g for most."
I tried to reply but my answer was rejected. Here is my reply:
The minimum weight is something less than 1 gram:
I placed 10 small pieces of paper on the scale
- they weighted 10.8 grams (that is 1.08 grams each)
I then placed 1 piece on the scale - it displayed 1 gram (which is correct)
I then placed 1/2 piece on the scale - it displayed 0.4 grams
(Theoretically, that piece was 0.54 grams so the scale should have shown 0.5 grams).
I then placed 1/4 piece on the scale - it displayed 0.3 grams
(Theoretically, that piece was 0.27 grams so the scale correctly showed 0.3 grams)
Finally, I placed 1/8 piece on the scale - the scale failed to respond.
(Theoretically, that piece was 0.135 grams so the scale should have shown 0.1 grams)

And here is my original review:
I have been using this scale for 4 weeks and really love it.
- It is accurate (one sheet of letter size 22 pound computer paper should weigh 4.99 grams and the scale correctly shows 5.0 grams).
- It is reasonably quick.
- The two plastic trays are really handy for weight small items like peanuts.
- And the counting function works exactly as expected.

I am totally disappointed with this product. LCD display is not clear after a few uses. I have used it only 3 times. I got this product in the beginning of July 2015 (about 2 months), it was fine in the beginning, but when I took recently LCD display is not clear. I changed the battery and checked but was of no use.
Product has a warranty of 2 years. I contacted the seller (iBhejo) but they said they are not responsible after (14 days or 40 days). I also sent an email to the Smart weigh. But they didn't response yet.
In USA this machine cost only half, (due to shipping charge cost get double - that's ok), still I bought it thinking that it is a best product. But this is either a very bad product or I got a defective one.

I was going to buy a proper scales but when the reviews for this were so good I thought I'd try it.
Well those other must be getting stock from the factory door because I did't think there was any way to ship a .1g scale in the post and have it arrive working. I was correct. This thing is £1 pound shop rubbish.
The minute it is on the digits jump around 100+grams each side of minus. When I put something on it anyway, it displays 0-Ld. No idea what that means. I'm a programmer and no combinations of buttons will make it work.
I also bought a 50g weight thinking I would be able to calibrate it. Turns out you can only do that with a 100g weight. Wouldn't help here anyway as it cant even zero it self.
I also notice pattern with the good reviews. They all seem to be from pro reviewers and a lot have been given one of these to review. 'Cause something stinks here.
Anyway its binned. Avoid.

UPDATE: I purchased this scale in 2015 and have since used it frequently, about a few times a week. It'll be eight years old as of February 2023 and the only issue is the digital display is missing a bar in the tenths place (it's seen a few bumps and jostles and minor drops). EIGHT YEARS! Still perfectly usable, still accurate when checked with a calibration weight. It's small, yes, but the size really is perfect for my baking endeavors. I purchased one for family that's also nearing the eight-year mark, am purchasing another to have for a spare, and will likely buy more for family. Hopefully the quality is the same.

When I first unbound this, my heart sank. It is small. However, this sucker is an amazingly good scale! I use it daily for precise food measurements for my dog's home cooked kidney disease diet so accuracy is key. It is large enough to comfortably measure anything I need and small enough to be very space-conscious. I can't recommend this little powerhouse enough. Great value for the price.

Just got this and it did not work properly. The display fluctuates wildly and does not settle even though it is placed on a level surface. My other scale works fine at the same location but cannot measure smaller quantities like this one is supposed to.

Also, this unit was not calibrated properly. A 150g weight was detected as 26g. I had to calibrate it myself, but there was no point, because the display still fluctuated too much. What's the point of having a scale that measures 0.1 of a gram if it constantly fluctuates from -1.5 to 1.5? Sometimes to even higher values. Sent back for a refund.
