Really good mechanical keyboard for those on a budget.

In my living room, i have an HTPC that i built a while back mainly for gaming. Currently, it is set up with a logitech k400 keyboard, and a steam controller. When playing games like TF2 or Civ, i find that the k400 is not as responsive as i would like it to be, causing me to press down harder than i normally would. I've always wanted to upgrade the set up with a mechanical keyboard (cooler master quick fire rapid), but did not want to spend that much money overall. I found this keyboard while doing some comparison shopping and decided to try it out. It comes with the keyboard, a short quick start guide, and a plastic keycap puller.

Build Quality:
- For a mechanical keyboard under $50, i was not expecting much in terms of quality, but this keyboard surprised me.
- It has an aluminum plate for the switches and a hard plastic bottom.
- The mechanical switches are plate mounted and very secure, with no flex at all when typing
- The cord is cloth braided, again, something i did not expect from a sub $50 keyboard
- There are two rubber pads on the bottom of the keyboard for grip, and two stands, that only adjust in one position
- I'm not sure what company makes the switches, but it is a Cherry MX Blue clone that feels lighter than my real MX Blues on my old blackwidow
- The Keycaps are really light/thin for ABS, making them feel a little cheap

Features:
- 87 Key layout (meaning without the numpad)
- Dedicated media keys for vol up/down/mute
- Quick shortcut keys
- Different lighting modes (NOT RGB, but rather, a different fixed color on each row)

Usage:
- After using this keyboard to play two full sessions of civ 5, and many TF2 matches, i can say that it is worth the $50
- Switches are very tactile and there is no lag or delay whatsoever
- N-key rollover is more like 6KRO before it does not register any other keypresses

Overall, this is a really good mechanical keyboard if you are tight on a budget. It works really well given the price, and comes with a couple things that i didn't expect to see; braided cord, and a keycap puller. The only thing that i disliked about the keyboard itself is how the keycaps feel, but those are easily replaceable.

Perfect first mechanical keyboard

This keyboard feels very sturdy and well built. There is absolutely no flex while typing. The case is all plastic and the top plate is aluminium alloy. The key switches aren’t Cherry MX. They feel like the original blue cherry and they are really responsive and tactile. Unfortunately, the cable isn’t detachable, which isn’t really a problem since the braided cable feels very durable. Furthermore, the led isn’t RGB, they only project one color on each switch. However, the lighting is clean and uniform, the led shine quite bright at max setting. To sum up, you cannot go wrong buying this keyboard as your first mechanical keyboard.

My first mechanical keyboard - A must buy product = Cheap and reliable

I saw other reviews of other products and this one have the same features, but this one is the cheapest of them all! I got this only for $29.99 bucks! I used this on the first day it arrived and tested all the keys were all working. I played DOTA 2 and Insurgency(FPS) and it was fun. It has Blue switches and the backlit colours were nice but some other keys on the keyboard and need a little bit of quality control. Other keys were a little bit of blurry but it was okay and it doesn't have a rubber on its stand.

ADVANTAGE: Cheapest in the market, reliable, nice features, fun to use

DISADVANTAGE: Slightly blurry keys, and doesn't have rubber on the back of its stand.

For a mechanical keyboard, you really can't go wrong at this price point! It's 25% of the price of any name brand competitor. The back lighting is a little distracting. I would have loved the colors to have been uniform or RGB instead of rainbow rows, but I really can't complain too much about it because of the price.

This keyboard is about half the price of a regular mechanical keyboard, and the build quality is better than I thought. Also, there are a few different modes for back lights. Kind of make my coding, and occasional gaming more fun. For this price, no regret.

First mechanical keyboard I have ever used. I got this for 30$ and it is a real mechanical keyboard. The keys definitely feel a lot better than my laptop's keyboard or other membrane keyboards. It is tactile and responsive. Though it took me quite a while to get use to it. The backlighting is cool with many effects. I recommend this product
