This tool works beautifully! Sure, the small pins we have to work with can be fiddly, but this tool makes it easy to connect wire to them. I found that if I do a partial crimp on the pin, say two or three clicks on the ratchet, that will hold the pin gently in place for inserting the wire, then finishing the crimp is child's play, just squeeze. If the pin isn't quite in the correct position, the ratchet release can be used so that the jaws open again to enable re-positioning.

Crimps fine on smallest setting but cannot use larger slot for dupont male or female headers.

XH works as well.

Main complaint is that crimp jaws are permenantly attached to the handtool completely defeating the flexibility of having an SN style crimping handtool. There are two retention pins that are hammered into either side of the hex screw preventing any removal attempt.

I simply do not have a drill press available to drill out these pins and thus, I must buy a different tool.

Look elsewhere. There are cheaper crimpers and cheaper sets.
