First of all the glass bottle is stunning! It's easy to take apart to fill and clean. I did read online that if you wash with dish soap you really have to make sure you get rid of ALL the soap residue as even the smallest amount can damage the hummingbird's stomach lining. So carefully research how to keep your hummingbird feeder clean without causing the birds harm.
I've been relaxing on my hammock on our back deck by the feeder this morning watching 2 hummingbirds at the feeder. They keep chasing each other away. It's so funny! I read one reviewer say that they didn't like that the feeder doesn't have perches. Doesn't seem to

What makes this bird feeder different is its construction. It's designed in such a way that when something heavy hangs on it, such as your hand, the wire exterior prevents the holes of the bird feeder from lining up with the exterior, thus the squirrel cannot have access to the bird food. I like the wire exterior because the squirrels can't chew it. What they have been doing is hanging upside down on it and swinging, thus spraying the food on the ground below (they really are clever, aren't they?). But I can live with that and our bird food lasts a week, instead of a day.
We have our usual beautiful cardinals, Blue Jays, woodpeckers,
As another reviewer mentioned, there are drainage holes on the bottom through which a fair amount of seed falls to the ground as the birds feed. This happens with all feeders but the sparrows and chipmunks clean up most of it anyway.

I specifically bought this so the cardinals would eat in leave like the add says, but misleading!
The finches and chickadees loge it though, but sure was a lot of money to spend on it to not have the cardinals come
But it sure is sturdy though!

EDIT: Since my first review, which I originally loved and gave 5 stars for, I have had issues. Perhaps the heat was too much to keep them out in the shed, but I developed maggots in the bucket. Also, as I went to re-order them for a fresh batch, and the price DOUBLED!!

One thing to note is i wish Amazon would pack their shipments much better. I ordered this book with several other items and a few things where scratched and the book had a slight crease on the cover.

Mostly sparrows visit the feeder, but we also occasionally get finches, cardinals, blue jays and a few smaller songbirds. I usually have to refill the feeder every day, that's how popular it is!

So upon seeing this I figured he was setting up shop in the neighborhood and without a flower around he'd need food.
Couldn't be happier and he found it right away along with a few others that seemed to come out of nowhere!
Easy to fill, and clean. No weird little crannies to get filled with debris. Also dishwasher safe but I don't think I'll put it in there.
This is super sturdy and well thought out.
They've included an ant moat with built in overflow so if it rains it won't dilute the nectar.
The lid along with the raised flowers around the feeding ports she'd rain as well which is
It's very easy to refill and to clean as well.
The birds seem to appreciate being able to perch on the edge while drinking, and tend to stay for quite long periods at a time.

Yes, it keeps water in the bowl from freezing;
But, the electrical cord is only 1 foot long, meaning that none of the mounting methods; resting on the ground, on a post, or on a railing, will be within 1 foot of an electrical outlet. And then, a sticker warning on the bottom tells you not to use this device with an extension cord. Totally stupid design, and undoubtedly compliance with risk-adverse corporate lawyers; except, of course, if this thing fails during the warranty period, the excuse will be that you plugged it in through an extension cord, even though that is the only way you can actually use this device.
That aside, it is a really good heated birdbath!

We always hang our feeder under a red rain protector canopy and now: this new ant trap hangs from that canopy and the feeder hangs from the new ant trap. It’s an amazing little unit. For an amazing price too!
what's in the box: the ant moat and hooks to hang the feeder and the antmoat.
Build and design: 4 out of 5
The plastic is quite hard and strong. the loops to put hooks through for hanging looks strong as well. I wish that the loops were a little bigger as some of the hooks were difficult to put through the loop. The design is great as there is no way ants can get past this if it is filled
All in all a good product

Main advantage for me: it allows me to keep bird feeders close and, at the same time, keeps my patio floor clean of spills and (almost all) bird droppings! Right now (summer), I am using my two hooks for hummingbird feeders and get to see my tiny friends many times every day. They do not mind feeding right next to me if I do not move too much! So cute! When it gets colder, I will switch to sunflower seed feeders and enjoy mess-free visits from my other winged friends! : D
Very well designed, and very sturdy. I can easily reach the feeders for refills or cleanups. Zero complaints about this product.
At this price, this is a bird lover's dream accessory!!!
