When it comes time to replace the filter on the old Craftsman 6.5 HP having the Briggs & Stratton motor, I will look to this manufacturer first and order at least two..
The filter itself felt and looked of good quality and manufacture. It fit perfectly on my lawn mower and best of all it was about 1/2 the price at Canadian Tire.

Cons: Unit is somehat heavy with most weight being at the extended cutting end. Most noticeable when working above shoulder level or extending the bar. Too heavy for my wife to use comfortably. Requires oil refill about every 20 minutes. Remaining oil has to be drained otherwise will leak out when the unit is idle.

I have many trees and shrubs. The gator is awesome to use in those awkward positions you can find yourself in when cleaning up the yard. The safety of using it is what I like as well as the weight of it. I have cut the cord, hence the second one. I completely burned it out, I was cutting wood for fire a few years ago and still have wood to burn. I thought I could do with out the last couple years and nah, I need another one...I like the Gator!
Just like many on-line reviews state, this saw is well build, as a powerful electric motor, easy and safe to use. Unlike a regular chainsaw, which requires that you safely position the branch prior to the cut, you only need to open the jaws and cut away immediately.

It was used and supposed to come with the original packaging WHICH IT DID NOT (so its hard to store) and DID NOT COME WITH A CORD!! THOSE B&D CORDS ARE ABOUT THRITY FEET LONG AND I WANT IT! Now I have got use a regular extension cord and really if I go to buy a really long cord, this item will have ended up

I have owned electric, gas and battery and this is better than all of them. I have a medium size yard. approx 50X100' and this battery did the whole thing on one charge. I had been without a trimmer for 3 weeks so it was pretty thick. On low speed it did the job great. Cut through the weeds and tall grass like nothing. The self feed was excellent. No tapping or bumping necessary. The wheel on the front keeps it away from the walls and fences so you don't unnecessarily chew through the spool of nylon. The 20V battery is more than powerful enough. I was a little hesitant when I ordered it but am completely satisfied with the performance.
Did a quick fine job. The only problem I noted was the battery ran out when I was a little more than three quarters through, however
the yard is a bit larger than normal and I wasn't hurried. I would purchase this trimmer again. The best trimmer I have had yet.
What I love about this trimmer is that the battery is inter-changeable with other Black & Decker tools. We already have a B&D drill with its own battery and charger, so I am able to keep one of the batteries in a charger all of the time and have a fresh one when I need it. (This trimmer also comes with its own battery and charger). The instruction manual also states that the battery can be left in the charger indefinitely without any risk to the battery or surrounding area.
I took a star off this trimmer because the battery takes a VERY long time to charge when empty. As expected, I needed

The black and decker cordless is a godsend... it’s light, easy to manoeuvre and I can reach without getting tired, no more cutting or wrestling with cords, I can even use it one handed. It’s sharp and cuts well... everything my heavy corded model did but easier.
I can’t attest to long run battery life yet but a charged battery lasts me the entire 40 minutes it takes me to trim the hedge and shrubs.
Could not be happier, exceeded my expectations
Like some others have said, the safety design can get a

If you note the first picture I’ve posted with this review, you can see my first swipe over my back porch with layers of winter grime build up. I didn’t even pretreat with detergent, and you can see how effective it was. Keep in mind, this was after a single pass (not forward and back, just a single straight line forward) and it completed a 15” swath in seconds.
For moldy pressure treated spruce decks in Atlantic Canada, you can use this first to get rid of much of the blackish/grey and then spray with a deck brightener and do a second pass to get rid of the soaps. The surface will then be ok to stain. It will not

I am so glad I don't have to fight with a gas powered one or drag an electric cord behind me anymore!

It cuts large trees and over 5 hours I've spent 2 batteries and half, which isn't much for the amount of work done.
It came with a slightly faulty oil cap, this bar doesn't go all the way thru making it weak and was so tight in place that it almost broke on the first opening of the oil tank. I hope they'll send me another cap.
I'd give it 5 stars if it wasn't for the oil cap, and would like some parts to be in metal instead of plastic.
