Bought this for my nine year old. Made a drive image to it with independant software. It comes with a three year warranty. This SSD is considerably lighter than most of them and I would recommend good air flow when using it as this usually means it has next to nothing or nothing for heat sinking. Older style SSDs have heavy metal cases that actually help disappate heat. The card did eventually produce some hiccoughs but I managed to smooth this out in a system repair. The Windows Experience Index went from 6.9 (from a VelociRaptor) to 7.4 after migrating the operating system. Many 240 GB SSDs sell for the same price or more than this 256 GB SSD. I would say you're getting good value for your money here if it lasts as long as those others do. Still, I was impressed enough to purchase another one. Time will tell. I'm new to Silicon Power and generally prefer KINGSTON SSDs. I'm hoping my little bump in the road experience doesn't lead to a bricked unit.
