I fully enjoyed this doorbell when we hooked it up, two and a half weeks ago. However since we installed it our weather has dipped to -8 Celsius. Yes I'm Canadian. This doorbell needs to come with a disclaimer stating that it doesn't work in colder weather. It should also come with a disclaimer saying if you call Ring and ask them about their product, once they know it was purchased from Amazon they won't feel inclined to really do much, other than offer to replace it or tell you to charge your battery. I was told to talk to Amazon. The Ring representative was pleasant but she outright stated that it is not meant for this weather. When I told her that -8 is about 17 in Fahrenheit she said ohhh nooooo that's too cold, I said that's nothing and it can get to -30 really easy here. That would be when she said it is not meant for this weather. And that should be one of the first things that they say about this doorbell. It was suggested that I get an extra battery and just keep switching it out, no I am not doing that. I bought this for peace of mind, I no longer have peace of mind. And I am really not happy with Ring for the way that they handled this situation.
