I’ve been using this for a few days and with 4 kids in the house set up all parental controls immediately. The Alexa remote is super cool, and it’s easy to put on shows, but there’s one huge problem. My 2 and 3 year olds think it’s awesome they can turn on Peppa Pig or Paw Patrol by themselves, but as they don’t always talk totally clearly, there is explicit content coming up through Amazon Music. Specifically, there is something by Donald Glover coming up when they try and put on Peppa, and something else when they tried saying Caillou. Now you’d think it would be a simple fix to set parental controls for Amazon music, or in my case, thought that when I set them up on the stick to begin with, it meant for EVERYTHING, all apps, and CERTAINLY all Amazon stuff. NOT SO. After a quick call to Amazon customer service, I was told there are NO controls that exclude explicit content on Amazon music in Canada. Read that again. NO controls on Amazon Music in Canada. So just beware, parents. The gentleman I spoke with told me they are aware, they are working on it, and it will hopefully be in the next update or two, whenever that will be. Sooo kind of a bummer and a bit shocking actually. Disappointed, Amazon.
