With all the hype out there about the Bully (Fall Away) series and stand-alones like Birthday Girl, this Penelope Douglas does not get nearly the attention it deserves. In my opinion it is one of her very best pieces. I really feel like her teenage characters have matured in personality since the Bully series where I really questioned some of the frustrating decisions they made, and at times wondered how realistic they were. In Punk 57, the main characters are a little more realistic (albeit at times they still make frustrating decisions) and likeable. Their connection is truly something you buy into and once again, there are some fantastic steamier scenes that are very fun to read. In fact, once I read this book on Kindle Unlimited, I enjoyed it so much that I purchased the paperback version to give as a gift to my friend who also loves this genre, because I believed so strongly in it. Give this book a chance, especially if you have Kindle Unlimited! If you are a fan of New Adult who does not mind their characters being older teenagers, this book is extremely enjoyable and addictive. I couldn't put it down!
